Tell me why Who: Kristen and Silvia When: Night Where: Peloe home
Silvia didn't think that anyone could really blame her for what she was doing. Oh sure, Annie was probably going to have something like a fit when she went to check on her and found out she wasn't in her bed, but that was just one person. So long as Nikita didn't come home early from that big, fancy party of hers then everything was going to be just fine. Now if Nikita came home early there'd be major problems. Silvia hadn't ever seen the vampire lose her temper but she thought that it might happen if she found out that Silvia was sneaking out at night when some pretty awful things had happened lately. People kept turning up dead and as though that wasn't enough, poor Kristen had been threatened or something by a vampire. Silvia had done her best to find out exactly what had happened, but she hadn't been able to find the small blonde when they were at school. Separate grades really got in the way of all that. And since Kristen wasn't answering her calls she didn't think that she had any other choice. Kristen had hurt her feelings and she hadn't apologized and she really needed to, but even without that she could and did worry.
It wasn't everyday that one of the few friends a girl had got on the news because she'd gotten into some sort of altercation with a vampire. Which just made it worse since Kristen had been all upset about Nikita. Nikita, who was as far as Silvia knew a really nice vampire. She couldn't imagine what it was like to get cornered by one who definitely wasn't nice.
Besides, she wasn't really in any danger from anything but big dogs, big birds and other things that might think a half-grown cat was a tasty snack. Because of course she wasn't making her way through Scarlet Oak as a little girl. No way! Things were too dangerous for that and cats went unnoticed far more easily. And it wouldn't taken way longer if she had to stick to the streets instead of cutting through yards and such. These were the times when she really liked being a were. As a cat she didn't think that she was capable of being afraid of anything. Until she reached the Peloe house. Walking around she spotted that a window was open on the second floor, along with a light up there and another on the first. That was probably the baby-sitter. It wasn't hard for Silvia to make her way up the tree outside and then jump to the ledge, squeezing underneath the window to tumble out on the floor on the other side. Shaking herself out she looked up to find Kristen and mewed, hoping a bit of concern came through, before jumping up on the desk next to whatever art project the other girl was working on. Sometimes these things were just easier when she didn't have to talk.
