Being a reporter meant that Missy was always caught up on all of the happenings and one of the first things she had done when she saw Amanda, whether conscious or not, was glance at her neck. Only to find that the woman had managed to wear her hair in such a way that the side with the possible scars from her bite were hidden from view. That was certainly different than when she had seen her with her hair swept up as though she were just begging for everyone to look and acknowledge what had happened. But different why? Her husband's here. That could make a woman dress and act just a little differently and something told Missy that Amanda did not want Cameron to be looking at those scars. A feeling she was familiar with since Jadyn seemed to have the same opinion of her own. I have things in common with Cameron Calvert. Unfortunately they're not the size of our bank accounts. "The service, yes, I cannot possibly be referring to all of the... company drifting about." Were they all some sort of supernatural? No, that had to be impossible. If they were all supernaturals then what on earth were she and the Calvert's doing there? They were not supernatural. Unless someone had found out about her fae-blood, but Missy highly doubted that to be possible.
"That's how mother's tend to be. Everything can go up in flames to them while everyone else enjoys themselves and wonders why they look panicked." As always, the mention of mothers caused a little pang in Missy's stomach that she had to do her very best to ignore. Now was most definitely not the time to get lost in memories of her family. Not when she was all-but surrounded by vampires. And my good gun's in the room. Her next favorite was strapped to the inside of her thigh, sure, but it was so awkward to have as many weapons as she wanted that could still be hidden by a dress like this. Was it worth wearing just on the off-chance that Nikita would see it and drink herself into drugged-blood stupidity again? That was a yes. "Thank you, and she is. Or she will be. She's a bit shaken up but she's a tough little sheila and has even insisted on still going to school." Amanda may not have been the best at this sort of thing, but Missy had been around far worse over the years. "Have you seen anyone else tonight that you know? My type of people seem to be distinctly... lacking." Reporters were not really that popular a breed. "Oh, my manners." Missy reached back to tug Jadyn up, smiling reassuringly at her. Amanda had something against all supernaturals, but why would she think Missy was dating one? "This is Jadyn Cole. Jadyn, this is Amanda Bl-... Calvert. Sorry, I'm used to the other name."
