"I feel bad for saying that I'm excited about Row repeating a grade, but it's awesome that we caught up to her." He laughed at that. Repeating a grade was probably not the best thing to be excited about. "Does she have one yet or does she still need one? I wonder if there are any openings at Nevermore." He could always put in a good word with his brother about Row. The family bookstore was where he worked part time anyways and it was pretty fun. Lots of interesting characters showed up there.
Freddie looked at him with a smirk of surprise. "You know that's exactly what I thought. Kind of word for word." She kissed him softly on the cheek. "I think she had been handing out resumes all over town when I saw her, so I don't think she already has one." Freddie smiled sweetly at him. "You'd talk to your brother about Row? You're the sweetest." She kind of wanted to work at Nevermore ever since ever, but it wasn't exactly like she needed it. Not when she had decided to take all the money her dad threw her way if that was all he was throwing, and other people needed it more than she did.
He blinked at her. "Really?" Well, that was odd. A good odd though. "Yeah, I'll talk to my brother about it and see if there are openings there. Row's my friend, so of course I'm going to try to be helpful." He smiled back at her and rubbed her arm when he hugged her closer to him. If he had known that Freddie wanted to work at Nevermore, he would've mentioned talking to his brother about it a long time ago. Alas, he did not know. "I hope that the mental hospital thing doesn't make it too hard for her to get a good job."
"Yeah, really. Cool, I think at this point even another part-time would help." Freddie said, kissing Rhys again. It would be the greatest thing ever if Row found a job somewhere remotely familiar, Rhys' brother's bookstore would be a great place. "Oh, come on Rhys, you know it will. Even with this Light of May thing there are things people still can't let go of." That was some bullshit, but that was life.
"Okay then. I'll get a hold of Dorian tomorrow then." He kissed her back rather enthusiastically. Rhys couldn't help himself. After taking a deep breath, he sighed. It bothered him that Row would have a hard time now. "Yes. I wish it was different though. It's going to be a real pain in the ass already because of the economy." Add on the mental hospital thing and it was going to be nearly impossible. So yes, he would definitely have to talk to his brother. "Don't let me forget to talk to him about that." He was easily distracted by... other things as of late.
"When? Before or after I'm snuggling up against you and a bunch of luggage in Myra's car for three hours?" She joked. Of course he could call his brother on the phone, it was just funny to tease him about the three hour ride. "Well, we're going to have to help her then. I'd talk to my dad but I doubt he's got anything up her alley in the big bad corporate world." Who wanted anything to do with that? Nobody awesome, that's who. "I won't, I'll remind you." Freddie smiled, kissing him on the cheek. She would just have to try hard not to be distracted by other things as well. It would be difficult, but for Row, she could definitely try.
Rhys smacked his forehead at that. They were leaving early and he totally spaced it. "I'll just call him on the phone then." He hummed appreciatively at the kiss to his cheek. "Thank you," he said as his hand came up to her cheek so he could pull her in for another kiss. No, he couldn't help himself. He was rather addicted to all that was Freddie. Her kisses, her smile, her laugh. It was pretty obvious how smitten he was. Especially when one noticed the goofy, lopsided grin on his face.
