It had been days since Caelia had really left her hotel room. While she had argued with herself that she had technically been outside, being out on her balcony did not count as actually being outside. She had spent the last two days trying to encourge herself to go out. She did love the open air versus the small, cramped rooms she had been forced to live in before, but it was so hard to reach out and submerge herself into the city. Despite the umbrella she carried, Caelia found that she was practically soaked through during her venture around the city. She didn't mind in the least, though. The rain had kept many people indoors and so she was more than gracious for the lack of crowds. The rain also reminded her a good deal of her youth and how things once were. How odd things were now. She was constantly in a state of discomfort and couldn't bring herself to live in the family house, even though she missed her family terribly. Now she was avoiding contact with anyone she didn't know as she walked around the town. She spotted a second hand store that was about halfway between her condo and her family's home. She had never actually stepped in, but it might be worth it if she found something she liked. She pulled the door open, shaking her umbrella and closing it as a bell tinkled overhead. She didn't catch the pair of blondes that were in a corner to her left as she entered through the center of the store. |
