All dressed up with some medicine for luck Who: Zeke and Holly Where: Holly's house to start When: Early evening
Zeke, of all people, never minded the rain. Sure, it meant he had the top up on his Jeep, but he still had the window cracked open as he drove so he could feel the wind passing by him. At least this time he'd remembered to put said top on before the rain started, because if he hadn't then he would have been sitting on soaking wet seats, again. It wouldn't hurt the Jeep and in the long run, it wouldn't hurt him either, but still, not the best of situations.
Right now, all that mattered was that he had the night off and he was going to spend it with Holly. And they weren't going to worry about anything, not the boyfriend in London or the band or anything. It was still new to him, how he'd finally admitted how he felt for the girl and had her say the same words back. Whatever happened from here on out, they'd face it together, and so long as Holly didn't decide to bolt it back to London, he'd be fine. At least, that was what Zeke told himself and until something happened to change that, he was going to believe that.
In the passenger seat, Scooby's tail was wagging, tongue hanging out of his mouth. I'm going to play with Taran! he said. And Slinky! And and and all the other pets!
He reached over to scratch behind the dog's ears as he pulled into Holly's driveway. He knew Scooby would be safe here if the couple decided to go out elsewhere, because god only knew what trouble his familiar would get into if left on his own. Killing the engine, he let Scooby out first and followed the dog to the front door, knowing Scooby's barking would get Holly's attention more than his knocking.
