What was worse, to not know about Nathaniel and never be able to meet him, or to have known him and know exactly what it was that they'd lost? Jonas couldn't answer that question. He knew it was a struggle for him, given his clairvoyance and the fact that he saw exactly how his son had died, and that memory never left him. It was just a matter of whether or not he let it overwhelm him in the moment, and right now, he was trying hard to avoid that.
