He could almost see the thoughts flickering through her mind, as told by the expression on her face. In truth, Jonas' heart was breaking a little too, because talking about Nathaniel had never been easy for him, but life wasn't easy and this was what had to be done. Jonas was incredibly proud of his son, proud that his line continued even though Nathaniel wasn't with them anymore. He couldn't help but think that his son would have been proud of the child he'd had, that she was helping people, that she seemed to be happy and healthy. Except for the whole injury thing.
