"Perhaps I will." He had not discussed that with Emogen, but then again, there were more pressing issues to attend to than whether or not they had horses he could ride. "And I promise not to take anything they do too personally." Unless it was dishonorable, of course, Jonas could not stand for that, especially not in his granddaughter's family. Emogen had not given him that impression, but he'd yet to meet the couple who'd raised her.
He nodded. "Yes, I met with Emogen a few days ago. I had some business to discuss with her upon getting to town." He expected Telyn to ask what said business was, and he would tell her - but perhaps, not here where anyone could find them. If he was going to reveal what he was, he was not going to do so in public. A twisted ankle would heal, but Jonas' jaw still tightened, clearly saying what he thought about that.
