Did she want to go? Tanith made a confused face and actually halted in her climbing into bed. Why on earth would she want to go? Perhaps it was hypocritical, being a supernatural herself, but she didn't give a fuck about supernatural rights. She was pretty sure down the line that it was going to end up fucking things up for people like her in the long run anyway. And she certainly didn't feel the need to socialize with vampires. Then Treat mentioned hiring her, and for some strange reason that made her burst into laughter. Eztli actually jumped at the sound.
"I didn't know you could do that," the famliiar declared. Then after a moment, "It's a little unnerving." Tanith ignored him. In a nutshell, she had set Treat after vampires - all but arranged a hit on a vampire - and he wanted her protection. Perhaps that was the way to appeal to her - it was terribly amusing.
"I can't imagine why you would want to go to something like that," Tanith informed him, though in the next moment she was shaking her head. "No, you have to go. Not to go would appear as though you're afraid. If someone's trying to make a show of goodwill and peace signs and daisy chains, your side has to at least pretend to play along." At least long enough to plant a bomb or something. Figuratively speaking. Or not. But did she want to go? Not particularly. Of course, she was sure that Domina was going to attempt to force as much of the staff to go as possible. If she was going to go, she'd rather be there looking for vulnerabilities - not potential clients. "Alright. When is this thing?"
