Eyes narrowing, Niamh stuck her tongue out at the idea of the down low. "The idea of someone feeling superior to me makes me want to...I don't know, but it's something drastic." Nothing occurred to her at the moment, but she just didn't like it. She didn't like not to be included, she didn't like to be jealous and she didn't like to be made to feel inferior.
A deep sigh escaped her, and Niamh shrugged. "The yearbook thing is so phony, all they ever include is the wonderful, amazing and totally cheerful things that happen as if we're all one big happy High School family. All the forced smiles and the little glittery messages of hope in the future while remaining nostalgic about High School. Ugh." She feigned a shiver. "It's all so 1950s sitcoms. And nothing ever happens that is important enough for the newspaper. If it was a gossip type thing maybe, but we're not supposed to do that, technically. Plus that would turn us into the unwilling cast of Gossip Girl and that just can't be good." The only thing Gossip Girl was good for was music and the boys. Boys who actually were much older than herself and were supposed to be playing her age. Hollywood...
Niamh's eyes widened and her face lit up when Frances suggested doing something for the drama club. "That's perfect, actually. It's not just actors who make up a play, what can they do if they don't have the appropriate costumes or sets? You'd totally be great at it." She smiled mischievously at the 'boys' thing. "Yes, well, it might give us some life experience which I think is also necessary for college. Then again..." She sighed again. "I would need boys to actually be interested in me for that to work, and I have too much height and not enough boobs for that." She rolled her eyes. Not that Niamh was really keen on the idea of having a boyfriend, but like Frances she wouldn't mind dating casually. Just something to do, she supposed. "I know, right? What do people even do when they have nothing to do?!" Philosophical question, right there.
"I want to go crazy with the flavors and sprinklers of stuff and I might even try an Orange Mocha Frappuccino just to know if it's really that good. I hope they have those at the Mudhouse." Suddenly, Niamh felt just a little bit more excited.
