The same thoughts ran through Niamh's mind at that same moment. Even her siblings ought to be doing something fun before school, and even if Niamh wasn't exactly dreading the next day - the faster that went the faster she was out of there - she wasn't keen on spending the last day of summer holidays doing what she usually did: Just sitting there, bumming around of increasingly boring social networking sites reading about what people judged as important information about themselves. Like what they had just been thinking five seconds ago. Who cared?
She rolled off the bed to pick up her phone as it rang, and when Niamh saw Frances' name on the screen she thought maybe her boredom was about to end. She had no bright ideas, though, so hopefully Frances did. What her friend said on the phone made her laugh and she ran to the front door without even hanging up the phone. "Hi." She said, opening the door. "You better have some bright ideas because otherwise you'll just be sad and pathetic somewhere else." She confessed.
