The hilarity of it being Ronnie who had owned that CD caught up to Bianca right about the time that Delta said something. "Bible-basher listening to a demon's CD, isn't that classic? If she was still around town I'd have to drop her a line just to let her know. See how freaked out she got." Bianca thought that Ronnie deserved that, and she would continue to think that even when she was sober. She had sort of been friends with that girl and having her stalk out after she had a meltdown because someone had just told her that her blood was killing her tended to leave a bit of a bitter taste in her mouth. "What? I think that's short, that's all I meant by that. Nothing else." Was it offensive? Bianca could not see why it would be. She just happened to be taller than both of them, although that made her suddenly start to wonder if she was taller because of her father. The one she would never know anything about because the bastard - she was allowed to think of him as such - had essentially killed her mother. Or that was me. Delta could say whatever she wanted, Bianca would still think that her existence was what had really put an end to it for Sierra.
Getting up to sing had actually been a pretty good idea. Why? Because it meant that Bianca was no longer being exposed to Persephone and having to think about accepting the idea that she was a demon and related to her. Singing was not Bianca's favorite thing in the world, but it was relaxing and it created a good stillness in her mind that she needed right then. And when it was over she tossed the microphone to the nearest person and made her slow and not at all steady way back to the table, dropping into the chair before reaching out for her drink. One sip and she lifted her eyes up to look at Delta, not even blinking at the sight of her eyes. It was like looking in a mirror. She had done that a few times; sat in front of a mirror and just watched while her eyes went from brown to black like someone was injecting them with ink. "Next time I vote we don't go out for karaoke night. Because if I remember that I did that then I'm going to hate myself in the morning." Her eyes flicked at Persephone. "Provided I don't already for being introduced to some really old lady who looks closer to my age than yours. Which isn't fair since you know, we're going to die young because of this blood and she gets to just live forever. You fucked us really good, Persephone. Let me thank you on all of our behalves." This was a sign that she needed to slow down on the drinks, when she started to get any sort of chatty.
