For a whole minute, Persephone's attention drifted away from this extremely interesting and engaging encounter back to the stage. Whoever had just hoped up there was a user. Very heavy and with just a bit of encouragement she was pretty sure that he'd be sleeping soundly six feet over before the sun came up. But then Delta gave that sort of snappy response complete with a teeth-showing grin and Persephone forgot about the addict. Her granddaughter and great-granddaughter had their own addictions, they just weren't the sort she was used to. Completely. She wasn't blind to how well Delta was tossing back those drinks and she'd just lit up a cigarette. Tick tick tick. "You realize that putting that altogether actually pretty much says 'yes'?" Check in the box next to Sierra for what made Delta get touchy, and Bianca didn't look all that happy. Which was sorta how her face always looked... too bad, she was actually cute. Persephone leaned back a little, pleased with how this was going. She'd learned that Delta did indeed possess a topic that wasn't to be spoken of and Bianca was drinking at however old she wasn't. It wasn't old enough by legal standards but those were such boring things to adhere to. Humans didn't know how to do anything right until she gave them a little nudge.
"Persephone Horne, though I just made it up for this current round of life. It's just Persephone and that's my name because I picked it out. Blessed if I know what my parents named me." For all she could remember they'd called her 'hey you' and she'd responded when she felt like it. "If you know anything about the modern jazz world then you should know me. Actually if you know anything about jazz in Chicago then you know me and you just don't know it. Been kicking that scene since the days when swing was in." No one better either. They'd all gone and died and she'd gone through so many changes that she was pretty sure she'd top the oldsters and newbies alike with one hand tied behind her back. That bit about who was or wasn't stupid she let go because she had nothing to add. Let them have it out between themselves, she was more focused on everything else until Delta commented on her figure. "Aw, thank you, you're so kind. You know you're not lacking though, don't you? You have to. Though I'd kill to have your height, Bi." Even without heels that girl was taller than her and it just wasn't fair. And wasn't that fun. Persephone's eyes lit up and she straightened in her chair. "Oh you're an empath! Must be driving you insane to know that I'm not lying. And you can be creeped out all you want, it's not going to change what's happening or that it's true. You're the ones who came into the same karaoke bar as me. It's like a sign." The last word was drawled out and she mimicked Bianca's eye-roll. "Won't give you a spiel, but I'm not. Neither are you, but I knew that. Bi's right and you're getting these rims... what's that, necromancer?" She leaned in closer to get a better look. "Nice to see what my blood's done to the family. C'mon, you're both bright girls. Think about what's different about your blood and you'll figure out what I am. I can wait." She grinned at Bianca. "Need another? Best way to get rid of the sting is to keep going."
