Ugh, this was why Eloisa didn't care for animals. They made those noises that called all that attention and on top of that they were just pains. Why did people want them? All they did was eat, make messes and demand attention. People with kids definitely didn't need one since it was just adding onto everything else they already had to put up with. She'd never have a pet. Why? Because she'd forget that it needed to be fed actual food and it'd starve or get so hungry that it bit at her and then she'd have to kick it and it'd probably die. Basically just a huge hassle that she didn't want to have anywhere near her. It was enough that she was having to put up with that little one right in front of her because it was with the child who was connected to Missy in some way or another. They look alike, have that same sort of accent. Looked like someone had started young.
Damn, kid didn't even look to see if she'd lost anything. Just went and declared that she hadn't, but thanks anyway. Had that been Eloisa then she'd have declared she'd lost whatever it was just so that she could have it. The differences between kids now and when she had been a child. "Oh, then I guess it must've been someone else. too bad, it was a really pretty bracelet." Being a vampire meant that Eloisa didn't operate by the same rules as the rest of the world and what that meant was that she didn't get the vibe that this girl wasn't comfortable. Though if she had then she'd just have grinned and kept on because that was her favorite way to make people feel. "Just trying to be a good neighbor. Which is why I'm going to ask what you're doing out along so early. It's still dark and this isn't the safest town in the world; shouldn't you still be locked up all nice and safe inside your house with your mom?" And that dog whose growling was really starting to irritate her.
