The sun was going to be up within the hour. Or at least the sky was saying that it was, turning that sort of color that Eloisa didn't like at all. She didn't like the sun and would've been more than happy if it just stayed down all the time. Really though, that meant she should've been home hours ago since she didn't really drink fae blood that often, preferring to leave it for Valya. And Valya was the reason she was still out since her sleeping habits were trying to change so that she could see the other Rider more often. But it was okay because while she'd been wandering and debating going back home to sneak into bed and see if Valya shoved her out of bed this time, she'd caught sight of someone she recognized from those few times she flicked on the news. An unpleasant someone who always had something nasty to say about vampires. Eloisa didn't approve and the only thing that'd stopped her from doing something about it had been the woman vanishing into her house. Had Eloisa then spent the next few hours in a tree outside, waiting? Yes. Occasionally she did know how to be patient.
And it paid off. That wasn't the woman she'd been waiting for - Missy something? - but it was a little tiny child. Or not so tiny, maybe around nine or teen, but she was still a kid. Eloisa always got such a kick out of toying with the children. And if this one belonged to the vampire-hater than all the better. Maybe she could send her back to mommy with a headful of spite that got taken out on her. See how she liked it. Dropping out of the tree, Eloisa followed the girl and her small dog until they were around a hundred yards from the house. There were still plenty others around, it wasn't like Eloisa was afraid of anything anyone in them could do, but they'd gone far enough that shouts wouldn't alert the house this girl came from. Eloisa closed her fist and held it up, calling out, "Hey, you dropped this!" She could've just picked the kid up by the scruff of the neck but she wasn't quite in the mood for that today.
