Saying that she was an empath had a bit of a bigger effect than Rina had expected it would. Once again she shifted a little in her seat while waiting for Cheila to speak again. Wings were a safer topic, she supposed, and it was not as though Rina had declared them to be her wings. "Blue and silver, but there was gold instead of white. If you think that the wind is silver then I imagine they would look very much like the sky to you. Perhaps when the sun is up? For the gold." 'I forgot the gold.' Trouble turned her thoughts to Rina only. 'If I'd have seen them more than once then maybe I'd remember, but you never take them out!' Why should she? Flying around was useful, but only when she had somewhere to go and on top of that it was very noticeable when there was an angel taking off from the yard or roof next door. 'I do like pillows! Rina lets me sleep on the one next to her head since I fit so well. But pillows aren't warm.' Trouble even purred when Cheila petted her, rubbing her head up against her palm to encourage the action. She was a firm believer that petting a fluffy animal made people feel better and the vibe that she was getting from Rina told her that Cheila's emotions were nowhere near steady. And Rina was not surprised by that. People had all sorts of reactions to her, whether they knew what she was or not, and she was certain that adding a talking miniature cat to herself just made it - oh. I told you you were saying too much. Rina could have answered, though the words would have been stammered through the knot that had formed in her throat. Instead she looked at Cheila's neck and felt the knot slip down into her stomach, where it only doubled and then tripled. She knew what those were. And they were on her wrist as well. Rina did not touch her, something told her that she should not do that, but her hand still went out and hovered over Cheila's wrist. She thought that she could make those go away...
Vampire. 'Darklis is a vampire.' Not all vampires are the same. Vampires who did things like this, because Rina just knew Cheila had not been a willing donor, were the reason that her cousin was facing dangers just because she was a vampire who was going to high school to get an education she had missed out on. "I am that her, yes. I'm... I'm t-the...." All of Cheila's emotions were tangling with her own and all that Rina could think was that she was looking at a woman who had come to this place with her family, but they had been separated before. They had been separated and she had vampire bite marks that had scarred on her wrist, on her neck... It was no wonder that she was broken. 'She has a problem with talking sometimes.' Several deep breaths, closed eyes, a mental image of a meadow filled with strawberries and sunlight... "I'm the patron angel, of the... Mentally Unbalanced." Her look was apologetic when she said it. "And Wrongly Accused, but you are not that. I know that whatever happened, it was bad, and I already wish it hadn't. But, this is why I exist, Cheila, to help people. It's not a job, it's my reason for existing and whatever you say cannot hurt me worse than I have been in the past. I promise you that." One corner of her mouth turned up in what was trying to be half of a smile. "You also can't get rid of me. Which I'm sorry for."
