Satu wasn't actually sure what the little jewelry box she'd gotten her mother was going to do. Other than hold jewelry. She'd done as Leif asked and let him have it before she'd left to go home, but she didn't know what he'd done. Some sort of a curse she was sure. She just hoped that it wasn't going to hurt. It wasn't Linnea that she wanted to hurt after all, it was that thing that was daring to try growing inside of her. Satu was the baby of the Niemi family, damnit, and she was going to stay that way no matter what she had to do to ensure it.
She'd never actually stopped to think about the fact that the rest of her siblings didn't just agree with her like Leif did. Like Dagmar, who'd said things to her when she'd made their mother cry. Rubbing at her eyes, Satu didn't think about it then either as she shuffled towards her door. Breakfast would be a good start to the day and then she could give the little jewelry box to her mother. Cereal and a gift, they always managed to go together. Slipping it into the pocket of her shorts she pulled her door open and stumbled out without even looking into the hall to make sure that it was free of blockage. Which turned out to be a really, really bad idea when she walked into a thin wall of ice that cracked and gave way with her weight. Satu did something she hadn't ever done and slipped on a piece of ice, completely shocked, and went sliding to the ground amidst a shower of shattered pieces. Her mouth hung open as her mind tried to decide what exactly she should do. Scream? Screaming was a good idea. She should probably scream.
'If you scream your sister is going to laugh really, really hard.'
