Eloisa could be content just with hearing that Valya had missed her. For her to say that was a confirmation and a relief, one that washed away little doubts that had been trying to snag and stay in her mind. But it wasn't just relief, there was a bittersweet edge to it that she had felt as though she needed to wonder at all. Eloisa had longed to hear Valya say that she missed her since before she'd found her and then even more once she'd seen those pitch-black eyes peering out at her from beneath rain-soaked lashes. She didn't care if the person behind those eyes had changed so drastically that no one else could recognize her, just so long as she could. And she did. So she followed when Valya laid on her side, stretching out next to her like she had been minutes before. Only now Valya was looking at her and saying - things like that. To hear once more that she was loved was even better than being missed. She didn't want to just be missed. She could've been content if that was all but she wouldn't have been happy with it. This? Now she could be happy and a slow smile spread across her lips despite the way that Valya had started to worry at her lip.
"I am with you," Eloisa murmured, bringing her hand up to rub her thumb against Valya's lip, trying to discourage her from worrying at it like she was. "There was never anyone else I wanted to be with. All I want is you, Valya. And a war to wipe out the masses, but that can wait." Despite being the more forward of the two she was hesitant when she leaned forward to kiss Valya lightly, thumb still pressed against her lower lip. It was too light of a kiss for her but it was enough to remind her that yes, this was her Valya. A Rider of Famine with her black eyes and beautiful face. "Do you forgive me for waking you?" Though it was something that she wanted to avoid in the future. Or maybe next time she would just be ready and if Valya moved to try and destroy her she'd be able to turn the tables around and hold Valya down until she woke up the rest of the way and realized that it was only her and she meant her no harm. She didn't know yet, but she'd figure it out. Or they would. Either way Eloisa's anger and fear seemed a distant thing then.
