Who: Diana and Ramiel Where: On a random street by the park When: Mid-morning
Ramiel had been in Scarlet Oak for several days now and yet the family she had so easily tracked from Greece to America (with help from a variety of people, of course) were now unfindable. She supposed that not knowing what most of them looked like was no help at all so she was now resting all her hope on the matriarch of the family having not changed over the past twenty years. Someone she thought that unlikely. Her legs crossed under her on the bench she was sat on, Ramiel propped her elbows on her knees and began to run her temples with her index and middle fingers of each hand. Over the years this had become one of her most common habits. That and smoking.
Well, there hadn't been much smoking done in Celestial since she fled back there but she hadn't wasted any time in picking the habit back up once she came back to earth. It was de-stressing, Ramiel found, and gave her something to do other than massaging her head. After several moments of said massaging, she delved into her pocket and wrestled with a fresh packet until the cardboard complied with her wishes and reluctantly spat out a cigarette. She was bashing her lighter against the bench arm in frustration when she looked up and caught sight of a woman she thought she knew. For a second, though, the fact the lighter was producing no light took priority and she continued bashing it. Whilst she did so she tried to figure out who the woman was. It was impossible that Ramiel actually knew her, because Ramiel didn't know anyone. She was an angel recently returned from Celestia, for Christ's sake. You don't start knowing people that fast. Still, she carried on trying to think where she knew her from, proceeding with her irritated bashing as she did so.
All at once, the lighter sparked and up sprang a flame and, as if by some divine intervention (that Ramiel didn't really believe in), the woman's identity suddenly occurred to her. There was some faffing as she attempted to gather herself and much swearing but eventually Ramiel was together and in one piece and heading for the woman wandering down the sidewalk. Like hell she was getting away from her now.
"Um, excuse me?" How exactly did one grab the attention of the women whose family you wanted to become Guardian Angel for? Someone needed to write a handbook already. "Uhh, excuse me?!" How did a wandering woman get away so fast? She quickened her pace until she was within arms reach of Diana. Then, after only a minor hesitation, she tapped her on the back.
