Swiffers are the best invention ever
Who: Karine and Selphie
Where: Cleaning aisle of the local store
When: Post-sunset
Whisper didn't seem to understand the very basics of cleaning. Oh she understood organizing and how to tidy up her work room, but the actual purpose of cleaning really seemed to escape her childe. How she got along during those times when they weren't together Karine wouldn't ever be able to understand. Did she hire a maid to do it all for her? Ugh, disgusted at just the thought. Karine actually shuddered as she walked up to the store at the thought. And then again when she realized that this was one of those stores where the doors didn't simply slide open as you approached. No, you were expected to grab the handle and pull it open. All of the dirt and grime that had collected on that one particular handle over the course of the day was likely too much for her to comprehend. Humans were absolutely filthy. One would think that the creatures who could actually be effected by diseases would be cleaner. Or at least try to be. True they'd managed to go and come up with all of these fabulous cleaning supplies but they didn't use them near enough. It was an awful, awful thing and Karine wasn't going to touch that. Instead she waited until someone came out and just slipped in. This was a wonderful time to come shopping, nearer to closing time when most people had already gone home. That way she didn't have to worry about any of them bumping into her. Or staring. She hated being stared at, she wasn't Whisper, thank you.
Glancing at the signs that labeled the aisles Karine ignored the more typical ones as she accepted a cart. Oh, right, she was wearing gloves. That door wouldn't have actually bothered her at all. I need to remember the things that I have on at the time. Most especially when said objects would help her combat her little desires.
Ignoring the more typical aisles dealing with food, Karine went right for - oh, toothpaste. No they weren't out of that but she liked having an extra tube on stock just in case one of them forgot. And now that she had a box in the cart she could move onto what she'd really come here for. Cleaning supplies. Oh she'd had a small stock when she'd first arrived but she'd gone through that all too fast and exploring every one of Whisper's cabinets and drawers had revealed that the other vampire was every bit as unobservant when it came to cleaning supplies now as she had been before. Some things just didn't change. Oh! A mop! Karine's eyes fairly lit up as she moved over to study the Swiffer section. A brilliant invention, really, Karine hadn't ever been that fond of mops and all of the dirt and grime that they managed to hold in. Things that were meant to clean shouldn't hold in dirt that well. It was akin to a crime and whoever had come up with these brilliant things needed to be given a medal. Yes, Karine believed that the Swiffer was a better invention than penicillin and the highest award should go to the person responsible. What was it... the Nobel? Oh, that was for peace. Yes well, this helped to encourage peace in the household. She was so caught up with her delight of being able to bring this back to the house that she didn't even notice someone else was in the same aisle and turned, the end of the Swiffer actually clipping the shoulder of whoever that was. "Oh. Sorry." Except she wasn't.
