Audra wasn't sure if she was disappointed or glad that she couldn't sense any demonic blood in him. Irritating little human; she could crush him like a bug between her fists without thinking twice, and for a moment she entertained herself with thoughts of doing just that. Sometimes it was a shame that she still liked this town enough to want to avoid drawing undue attention to herself, but then, that was what she had her magic for. If she felt like he was worth the trouble. She was immortal but backlash could still be a bitch if something screwed up.
"Manners are unenforced standards of conduct which demonstrate that a person is proper, polite, and refined," Audra remarked. "Their usage and display should be universal and ingrained, not selectively applied to those one deems 'worthy' based on entirely subjective and unsubstantiated perception." Was it tweaking her last nerve for this child to be so obviously superior? Why, yes it was. Particularly considering she'd spent the majority of her centuries-long life as nobility. She had a few things she could quite happily teach this century's upper crust. "Well," she said, spotting an empty table, "it appears you have two out of three, and I'm sure your winning way with people will assist you in making great strides towards achieving the third." Another of the sweet smiles as she toasted him briefly with her cup before heading towards the empty table to settle in. It would be interesting to see if he followed.
