Well sometimes I go out by myself, and I look across the water Who: Persephone, Gabby and Urist (NPC'd) Where: Redleaf lake! When: late afternoon
Charles Lawrence had not actually deemed the coast clear, and had forbidden his daughter from leaving the house until he thought it was safe to do so. Too bad Gabby was a grown ass woman. She'd snuck out of course, and had made easy work of climbing out her window. Honestly, if her dad was going to confine her to the house, he should remember that the fact that they lived in a one-story made it pretty easy for her to escape. Gabby wondered if her dad would ever learn that it was better to just let her do things; she was going to do what she wanted no matter what he said. And it wasn't really anything against him at all, Gabby just needed to get out. 'You should know better than to leave the window cracked then, because you knew very well that I would follow you. Someone's got to keep you out of trouble.' Gabby rolled her eyes and smiled as Urist ran up to her, in a huff because she'd broken the rules. Again. 'Your dad is just trying to protect you, you know.' Gabby nodded as she hopped in her car. Her fox familiar jumped in before she could shut the door, perching on the passenger's seat. "I know. But I'm sick of being in that fucking house. It's way too nice a day to waste indoors, again. You know you've missed being able to go farther than our yard."
It defeated the purpose of sneaking out when Gabby fired up her car, as the sound would definitely alert her dad that she'd gone out. But she figured he would find out soon enough, after he went in to her room to check on her for the millionth time in the last few days. Sure, he was concerned, and she appreciated it, but she could look after herself. And if Gabby got herself into a bad situation, she would probably be able to get herself out of it. 'Maybe after you'd had your fun.' Gabby grinned; Urist knew her very, very well by now. "Wanna go to the lake?" 'Not really. I want you to go home and mind your father.' "Oh, good. You're going to love it!" Urist grumbled something about selected hearing and curled up on the seat as Gabby drove towards Redleaf lake. The trip wasn't very long, and before she could really get through many songs on her cd, Gabby was parked and out of her car. The light breeze blew the scent of the lake into her face and she smiled. She hadn't thought to bring her suit, so the fire elemental just stripped out of her outer clothes, not caring if anyone saw or stared. As she splashed down into the water, she broke out in goosebumps as the water hit her skin. Unlike most fire elementals, though, she loved the water. 'Have I ever told you how strange you are?' Laughing, Gabby splashed water back at where Urist sat on the bank. "Yes! Loads of times! It never gets old, trust me."
Once she was out far enough, Gabby went under, letting the water soak her hair. She came up with a splash and a delighted giggle, swimming around like she was a water elemental herself.
