Well it rains and it pours when you're out on your own Who: Dominic and Rhys Where: Some shady sports bar around town When: Evening
So far, Scarlet Oak was looking to be a pretty decent place. At least, Nic's place wasn't crap and Dominic hadn't had to go find a hotel - which was good, considering that the only one he'd passed so far was the Budget Lodge and like hell he'd be staying at any place that charged by the hour. Nic's couch was miles better than that. Zania's bed would have been better, but he was trying to be patient. She hadn't slapped him in the face and told him to leave forever, so he figured it was all right to hang around for a while. Now that he knew Zania didn't hate him, it was one weight lifted from his shoulders.
It didn't fix everything, but being near his mate helped. He'd take any little bit he could get at this point.
Still, Dominic had plenty of time on his hands now, seeing as he wasn't actually working, and a whole new town to explore. Leaving his things and his familiar behind at Nic's - something his coral snake was decidedly less than fond of, and Crowe told him so again and again - he headed out into the night. If businesses were opening during the day, then there had to be a bar open at night. This place couldn't be that ass-backwards, right? Finding one bar that was not only open but promising, Dominic smiled to himself, taking a seat at the bar. There were a couple pool tables off to the side, a dart board up on one wall, and plenty of people here. He could make a killing here tonight, if he tried.
Or lose a lot. Either way, Dominic was settling in for a little bit of fun.
