So lately I've been thinking about superheroes, because they are awesome. And I got to wondering. What would our Bellum kids be like in a Superhero Universe?

Here's your task! Post on your character's journal with his or her superhero story. Assume an AU that's similar to the Marvel/DC world of masked heroes. They can be a hero, a villain, an unaffiliated person, or some combination of the three. Give us a backstory and a name, hell, describe their costume if you're bored! I want to see how awesome Bellum would look in colorful tights.

For an added interactive bonus, post to other characters what role you think they would have in a Five Man Band. This is because hero/villain/unaffiliated crazy team-ups are ridiculously common, and it's fun to think about. Here are the five roles of the Five Man Band:

• The Hero - That's your leader. There are many kinds of heroes. For a villainy counterpart, you can call this "The Big Bad" or something.
• The Lancer - The Hero's right hand. Supporting character with a vengeance.
• The Smart Guy - Usually on the weaker side, but is easily smarter than everybody else put together. Often the nerdy comic relief.
• The Big Guy - The team's strong man. Is often dumb, but doesn't have to be.
• The Chick - The team's peacekeeper and inevitable voice of reason. Usually considered to be the heart of the team.

Now obviously you can have a girl Hero and a guy Chick. So don't let that stop you. Have fun, be amused, and let's put on some colorful tights!

Lotte's story is not that different from reality. Except that from when she was sent to foster care, she was actually taken in by an ex-superwoman who encouraged her to follow her dreams and use her powers of singing for good. She's all set to be on track to be The Chick ...until she starts hearing things. She shuts down, wasted potential for years and years until |X| catalyst which puts her in tights again.

She hates tights ;;

Again, Luther has no change. He's a hero. :| He swears he is.

Duplicity and the Id

Brian's mental illness is both his superpower and his curse. He grew up in a rough area and was witness to a number of brutal crimes. The inability to reconcile these events with the idea of a just and fair world lead to the development of his alter ego, Max, when he's a young man.

Unable to live in civilian life, Brian took up the name Duplicity and began attempting to create his own moral code. It's broken and fractured, not helped in the least by Max. When donning his villainous attire, Max is the Id. Everybody knows that Duplicity and the Id are connected, but not all know how.

Duplicity attempts to be a vigilante that works for justice, but his skewed moral code that still has little definition prevents him from doing any real good at all. The Id blatantly harms civilians for the sake of keeping himself amused.

Duplicity would be this character that randomly shows up in more popular heroes' comics to be depressing. He and Luther would have a one-shot series where they talk philosophy and it'd be AWESOME.

Xavier's is fairly predictable. He's an up and coming super, with a girlfriend caped and not-caped. His buddy is Lucas and they're friends while not caped - while masked up, things are more tricky and Edward is unaware of Lucas' real calliances. He confides in Lucas, leading to a major screw over. Edward is shunned by heroing and super society and banished somehow to an island off the coast of France.

There he learns lots from a mysterious former super and comes back with a plan for revenge. Defeat Lucas for once and for all. Get Gina back. Clear his name. Can he do it all? Stay tuned next week for...

...oh COME ON. This is like already a TV show. "Caped" has a similar premise. Or what it's called. Nevermind that we all know from The Incredibles that it's a bad, bad idea to wear a cape with a costume.

Joss is a damsel in distress, classic love interest figure. Probably a reporter as only they are as annoying as she is.

Des, forgive me but it's true...I still love Maddie

Theo would fall into his place in a Superverse pretty much by accident. His parents, and later friends who cared about him, would have tried to contain that 'something different' about him ever since he could remember. One day, soon after switching medicines and before the new one had fully kicked in, Theo would have discovered that something different about himself completely by chance. For reasons known only to him, if he even understood them, he chose to interrupt a mugging. Realizing that people got very, very disoriented and disorganized around him when he chose to exert a little effort would have sent him on a quest to find out more about what all the medicine has been for, a quest that ultimately leads to him embracing his own strangeness.

He would be the ultimate unaffiliated. In fact, I'd have to call him a true neutral (oh yes I am bringing D&D into your Marvel/DC world) - he isn't going to go out of his way to help people, but he doesn't want to hurt anyone, either. His behavior is too chaotic to be considered lawful, but the guidelines that govern his speech patterns are too rigid to be considered chaotic. He would sometimes pop up on the hero's side, and sometimes on the villain's, depending on the weather - it's as good as any other explanation for why he does what he does.

Sherri is definitely not the kind of person who would hero on her own (though she would be a hero, rather than a villain), and would have to be a part of a team. She'd have been living a quiet, unobtrusive life, until someone noticed that when she told a story, she could keep an entire room under her spell. That, combined with the fact that she has an abundant amount of knowledge packed into her little skull, and knows how to find something out even if she doesn't already know it, would make her a valuable addition. Either a team of villains would try to nab her for their uses and the heroes would rescue her and take her in themselves or, much more likely, the heroes would notice and approach her and she'd find her place as quietly and unobtrusively as she does everything else.

Every time I start thinking about this, I keep assuming Illy is Dick Grayson. God damn circus. At least she doesn't have Nightwing's glorious hair.

Illy's born in to a Super family, well at one time the parents were Supers. Her mom went rogue and abandoned Illy to her father, who retired from Super life to the circus. He raised both his girls to be heroines, but Illy is never quite a whitehat. More like, a very light shade of gray hat. The whole family is Magic Types. She has a multitude of spells under her belt, but her real skill is in Animation. Causing inanimate objects to come to life.

She's helped both more ambiguous types (STEFAN :|||) and some hero types. People noticed a change of leaning more towards the Good Guys when she started working the same area as another crime fighter that she teams with frequently. No one knows why. Hmm...

(For the AU, Leesha, Those Two are basically Joker and Harley Quinn. XD)
