Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Lucius and Draco
Where: Malfoy Manor, Lucius's study
When: The evening after the Quidditch World Cup

The Cup had been far more eye opening than Draco had expected, and he and his mother had returned home early the next morning, his father left behind to deal with a few things.  The truth was, Draco hadn't seen him since he'd gone to bed the night before, and he couldn't help be but a bit worried.  After all, here it was, almost bedtime again, and he still hadn't seen him.

He had no worries that his father was in true danger, but that didn't mean that everything was all right.  What if the Aurors were chasing him?  Righteous do-gooders.  Why couldn't they just leave him alone?

Narcissa had retired to bed after supper, saying the excitement of the day before had been more than enough for her, thank you very much, and that she was going to bed early, and Draco was quite welcome to wait up on his own if he so wished.  Draco'd made his way up to his father's study, then curled up on the couch and waited for him to appear.  He just hoped he wouldn't have to wait too long.  He hadn't slept much the night before, and he could already feel himself dropping off, despite the fact that he was fighting it with every bit of himself.

I'm a what...?

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Who: Harry Potter, other students, teachers
Where: Hogwarts
When: Lunch, 1st November 1994, the day after the champions were selected
Rating: G - PG-13 depending on how nice the students talk ;-)
Why: To let everyone at Hogwarts react to the selection. Treat this as a gathering type post so tag each other or Harry or whatever you like :-)

It wasn't even a full day since his name had popped out of that damned Goblet and Harry had already been tripped, pushed, bumped and kicked - all accidentally, of course - more than he'd ever been on a day back in the school where he was in the same class as Dudley and his cronies.

While some of the Gryffindors seemed to think it was brilliant that he'd somehow tricked his way into this competition, even some of them felt it was low and that he should at least have shared it with someone. Like his best friends. Or something. And some were simply opposed to the cheating they saw. Of course, all the Hufflepuffs felt that way and Harry was particularly miserable about this as he'd usually gotten along well with a good deal of them.

Even now, at lunch, he didn't have any peace. Every time someone passed he had to shift or duck to avoid something falling on him, or at least endure being called names. As if it wasn't bad enough that Fleur Delacour called him a 'little boy' and he was getting increasingly worried about this whole thing. What a miserable day.

'Potter stinks,' someone called as they passed. Harry didn't even look up any more. It was already getting very old.
