So what happened with Scabbers/Pettigrew..

We'd like to stay as canon as possible there. And we would very much like to hear your opinions on this. Especially, of course, the implicated Muns.

Scabbers never left Percy.

When Harry comes to Hogwarts he makes friends with Fred and George and through them he, and his Gryffindor friends Hermione and Neville, meet Percy and Scabbers.

Harry's third year (PoA): Scabbers knows that Sirius has escaped and is terrified so he's getting increasingly sick with fear, just as in canon.

Does Hermione have Crookshanks??

If yes, then he has been hunting Scabbers, both because he knows this is no real rat, but also on Padfoot/Sirius' orders, just as in canon.

Finally, Scabbers has had enough and decides to go hide out at Hagrid's. He's on his way there, crossing the grounds, when he's seen by Harry, Hermione and Neville who are leaving Hagrid's. Neville catches Scabbers, Padfoot/Sirius shows up, grabs Neville and from then on we go canon.

I think that if they found Scabbers in Hagrid's milk jug they'd be more likely to go tell Percy where to get his rat than to actually take Scabbers with them.

So...  According to the book, The Weighing of the Wands was the same day the badges appeared.  However, to give us more time to play with things, we're going to have that happen Friday, and since K is the only actual pup in that thread, we're just going to let him do a journal entry about it.

The article by Rita will be appearing sometime Sunday or Monday.

And the First challenge will be posted the Saturday after. (the 26th)

Anything else we need to cover in that time, aside from multiple detentions? ;D
