Letters

Dear Mother and Father,

I hope this finds you both well and that you're enjoying the last days of summer. Thank you again for your generosity and advice. Both have enabled me to set up quite a fine tailor shop here in Lechance. The people here are very friendly and I've been quite busy since my official opening.

I have had a first meeting with the first match suggested by Mr. Lechance. A widower named Julian MacKallister. He has a four year old son named Michel, whom I've yet to meet. He's very polite and courteous and is an engineer. I'm hoping to hear from him again soon.

Please give my love to the rest of the family and I hope to see you at Thankgsiving.

Your son,
Theodore

Mr. MacKallister,

I wanted to express my gratitude for your call last week. I had a very enjoyable afternoon.

My plant appears to enjoy the sun from my window and is thriving quite nicely. Thank you again for it. It's nice to have something living to spruce the place up.

I hope this finds you well and enjoying the last days of summer.

With regards,
Mr. Theodore Nordstrom

Returned with a potted plane of Austrian Rose

Mr. Nordstrom,

I am much enjoying so much warmth in early September. I wonder if I may entreat you to join me, and an appropriate chaperon, to take a walk outside of town and see if there is another plant you would enjoy adding to your growing collection.

Respectfully,
Julian MacKallister

Mr. MacKallister,

I would be delighted to accompany you and a chaperon for a walk and I'm honored by your request. I put myself at your disposal.

Thank you, the plant is beautiful. I'm quite overwhelmed. I hope you'll accept mine in return.

With regards,
Theodore Nordstrom
