ok guys, i promise this will be the last one in a little bit!! ashley here with my third (lmao this is such a joke at this point, oh god) character!!! again, wildly different from theo/![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) lupusmerci and absalom/hymnalize so i hope she will be to your liking. clearly i am just trying to catch up with all of you.
I AM GOING TO BRIEFLY GO OVER THIS CHARACTER'S HISTORY BUT BE FOREWARNED: SHE IS ABSOLUTELY NUTS AND THERE IS POTENTIALLY TRIGGERING MATERIAL IN HER PAST. i'm going to go over it as gently as possible, but it makes up a huge chunk of her psyche, so apologies in advance and i do encourage skimming if you are easily upset!!
the basics here:
• liling zhou is a vampire hailing from before the second sino-japanese war and a resident of nanking at the time of the massacre. after the death of her brother, suffering all aspects of the rape of nanking, and being turned into a vampire by her currently on-the-run husband, she's -- disturbed. what was already not a healthy mindset has been fractured and split into pieces; what morality liling has is negligible and she's self-serving and self-preserving. if she doesn't care about you, you are expendable.
• example: she murdered her own daughter (who hangs around as a ghost, if anyone is so inclined to investigate that as a possible character of theirs!!) to ensure they would be ~together forever~. clearly she doesn't have a good grasp on how to do things the 'right' way.
• basically she lives to terrorize.
• of course, no one at the academy knows the nitty-gritty of her history or exactly how unhinged she is. i'd love for it to come out eventually but at the moment, she is under intense supervision from landvik who granted her the generous offer of letting her work after she was captured and tried for the murder of several donors (some possibly unwilling). she's been here for about a year.
• looking for: i don't even know with this one. people she could manipulate? creepy vampire friends?? evil buddies to rub shoulders with???
another announcement: i might be slow because of finals and graduation things, so just a head's up that the next two weeks will be a little crazy for me!!!
