I've been doing my best to leave work-related things at work and not comment on the murders, but something about the whole calling card scenario really got to me and I ended up spending most of my night making notes about the symbolism behind the King of Hearts to see if it might yield any clues to help us with this case. There's a lot out there on what that particular card might mean, so I seem to have my work cut out for me, but I suppose I should have known occultists would have a lot to say about the so-called 'suicide king'.
Ah well, there are worse ways to spend Valentine's Day than being buried in research.

i sort of got knocked into a box of chocolates this morning. it was a little cramped. and i think i scared that girl-
but. um. i guess what i'm saying is- try to check boxes for spiders before you close them? that would be really nice.

I had a date planned for weeks. He'd have come especially from Paris for this day. I had to cancel it the moment I knew we wouldn't wrap up in time for this day. He called an hour ago and I felt like banging my head against something.
I wish I hadn't. I wish he were here because my head aches and this supremely smug bastard is gnawing on my last of nerves.

I swear to ever deity that exists, even the most fake, that it is plain stupid that people aren't being more careful. He is being too fucking active now and it's as if Vinter's population are offering themselves up.
That irritation aside, whether it's a story or even his idea of art about love and perhaps loss, it has to go deeper than that. Maybe it was his, maybe his parents'. And if we find a dead child again, posed in his sick displays, I'm going to And if it is influence from another, then we return to not knowing the killer's or killers' sex. How can we be THIS lost?

After what's happened, things are looking-- bleak. To say the least. He seems more like a spree killer than anything, though it's so hard to tell right now. But I think if the shifters can help out, and the werewolves if something is worked out, we can too. We're all here to protect, right? And to prevent crime.
So-- yes. I thought if we could put our own noses to work, we could find some more evidence. Blood is something we can probably pick up faster than a werewolf or a shifter. We're more... in tune? With blood. We could help.
It's just an idea.
