Hermione swept out of her room the moment Harry agreed to meet her tonight. She took in a deep breath and made her way out of the room she was in and bustled down the stairs onto the first floor. It was so odd being indoors again... she had spent the past several weeks living out of a tent. And there were so many people here! With Harry as her only company, it was still a little odd dealing with the sudden onset of living amongst a lot of people again. But that didn't matter right now, what mattered was getting to the bottom of this entire ordeal - people or not.
She couldn't imagine Harry from such a different timeline. Fifth year? So much had happened between then and now. So many terrible things... she pursed her lips as she continued her brisk walk down to the room Harry had specified. She didn't know how she was supposed to break the news about Sirius truly being dead... let along broaching the subject of Dumbledore. She felt her heart twist just at the thought of it. He was going to be devastated.
When she finally reached the door to his room, Hermione looked up and checked the number to make sure she had it right. Taking in a deep breath, she exhaled it heavily and straightened up, lifting a hand to push her hair back from her shoulder. She allowed only a moment's more hesitation before steeling herself and lifting a hand to knock on the door. As grateful as she was to have Harry around, she wasn't sure how to handle the fact he was younger. Suddenly she was the one carrying the burden of all the information and responsibility. Hermione pushed it aside, however, and waited for the door to open.
