It seemed like Lucas was getting an early birthday present today: Bryn Abercrombie was coming over to help him planning the party, and they'd be completely alone. Maybe today he could finally snog her after years of playing cat and mouse -- though he did enjoyed that game. He really did deserve some sort of prize for being so persistent and never giving up, right?

He waited for her in the living room, sprawled on the couch as he flipped through the channels of the t.v. His mother had grown up with Muggle technology around her house and Lucas was glad she had put some around there; he loved Muggle shows. He set for a movie he had already seen until he heard the doorbell ring. With a big smug grin he got up and went to open the door. "Hello, beautiful."

The kind of closeness that Lucas wanted to have with Bryn was more of the physical kind than the emotional kind. It was always like that with girls. He liked to date them, but he never let them get too close because he didn't want them to see he had problems and he actually cared about those problems. But just because there weren't any major share of feelings didn't mean he and a girl couldn't have a good time together, right?

"Oh, is that an early birthday present?" He teased when she kissed his cheek. He took a good look at her, letting his eyes wander onher legs for a little bit before looking back at her face. "I'd never leave you in the cold, love. Unless I was out too to keep you warm." He wrapped an arm around her shoulders nonchalantly and pulled her in, kicking the door close with his foot.

Bryn wasn't really that worried about Lucas actually wanting to get to know her, he was more like the guy who wanted to see her naked but never would. Actually that depended on a lot of things, a girl never knew. She was planning on holding out for Roger to come back around and maybe they would have gotten back together, but he'd gone for Addison Weasley. Bryn had tried to get Dylan to open up, she even tried to get Jasper to open up. Now it was all about fun again. She was finding it clear that she'd never really find anyone to actually 'date her' she was a playful girl. Playful was a lot safer.

"Maybe." She said leaning her head against him as his arm wrapped around her. "Maybe I'll take you up on letting you keep me warm outside. We'll see." She was teasing him of course. Like that would happen! Well she did enjoy keeping him guessing.

Playful was good. Very good. Lucas really like those girls, especially when they were as beautiful as Bryn was. There was no need to worry about the feelings or emotions, they just had fun. Why the rush of committing to someone when they were so young and still had a long life to live?

Lucas smirked down at her, lowering his head to whisper in her ear. "I know a lot of fun ways to keep you warm, so think about it." He winked at her playfully and led her to the living room. They were completely alone in the house, so there was no need to go to his room if they wanted to snog but not be caught by anyone. He let go of her so he could sit down on the couch, throwing one arm over the back of the couch.

"I'll think about it." She winked as she took a seat on the couch. "So what do you want this party to be like?" Bryn loved to play parties and the like, why not as him what he wanted and go from there? It was a pretty good way to start right? She figured she'd have to make it difficult for him to get a sign of interest again.

"Drinks? Invite list? And not just you and girls, that'd be really unfair." She said nodding as if that settled that matter.

Lucas give her a mock pout. "What? Aw, it wouldn't be unfair. It'd be every bloke's dream! Besides, it' my birthday, don't I deserve to feel special?" He said smirking at her. He chuckled and thought for a moment, shrugging lightly. "I don't know, I guess I want a great party, with drinks and food around, music... All that stuff." He said. Although the idea of him with a bunch of girls seemed to top anything else. That would be some awesome birthday present.

"OH IDEA!" She said out of no where looking at him. "Em and I are planning on doing a hot tub party for the 7th years, you could see girl in bikini's and have a great party! What about putting them together?" She said as a silly bright grin crossed her lips. It sounded like a really good idea to her, it was prefect. They could save on making people party out. "And clearly whoever else you want to invite that isn't a 7th year, as it is for you too."
