Braden's nose and cheeks were bright pink with cold as he stumbled his way back into his family's room at the ski lodge. It had been an amazing day, in Braden's opinion. He had never been an amazing skier, for certain, but he had been good enough to help Zara learn. He had taken it slow with her, but he thought she had done pretty well for herself considering she had never been before. Besides, how often was it he got to see Zara as a snow bunny?

Yanking off his hat, he gave his hair a bit of a shake and started removing his layers, feeling much too warm now that he was in the heat of the room. "Did you have a good time today?" he asked, turning to face Zara with a grin, before hanging his coat in its rightful place. "You did really well, you know. I was impressed!"

Zara was surprised at how good his hands felt on her skin. She tried to hide it but a small moan escaped her lips. Her legs hurt, it felt good to have her muscles worked a little. Besides it wasn't like she'd let anyone else touch her legs like that.

She blushed looking down at his hands on her legs for a moment before answering his question. "I'm really glad that I came." She said softly. Of course she was happy! She really enjoyed spending time with him, besides it got her away from her home where everything felt sort of cold, here everything felt warm. Everyone was kind. "Are you glad I came?"

Braden swallowed nervously at the small noise she made. He had never heard Zara sound like that, even if had been perfectly innocent and he was sure she hadn't meant to do it. He managed to prevent his hands from hitching in their movement (only just), continuing their careful movements.

"Of course I am," he answered with an almost incredulous laugh. "I love having you around." He had been worried about how she might feel with his family around all the time, but things had gone pretty smoothly.

Zara would have loved not to have made a sound like that, but well she had, she was going to have to live with it. At least he didn't seem too put off by it. She was a bit worried that he would be. But it felt really good....

"Good, I love being around." She said as she moved a bit of hair from her face. She was a little bit nervous about it, purely because well Zara wasn't really sure. It wasn't as if they hadn't spent a lot of time together of the years. Why did it have to make her slightly nervous now? Because they had kissed? Because his hands were working on her legs? Why? It sort of seemed strange to her, but not at the same time.

Her face started to turn bright red as she leaned forward and kissed his cheek softly. "Thank you for inviting me."

His nervous smile quickly transformed into that goofy grin of his as he felt her lips upon his cheek. This relationship with Zara was new and different, and he certainly liked it. Her lips left a tingling sensation upon his skin. "You're welcome," he murmured, hesitating a moment before slipping one of his hands away from the warmth of her skin to tip her chin up slightly, gently pressing his lips to hers.

It was the grin that she always loved to see, regardless of the new turn their relationship had taken, over the years that was the grin she loved the most. It was the one that could make anyone smile. She smiled, although a bit nervously. She wasn't used to showing affection of any kind. She was used to being very closed off.

As he tilted her chin she knew he'd kiss her, and she wasn't about to fight that. Instead she smiled as she felt his lips against hers. It was as if it were a drug, a drug that pushed all of the worries of the world a way. A drug that made her feel a little bit less nervous about all of this. She pulled back only slightly for a moment before pressing her lips against his again, but not exactly as gently.

Braden loved the strange new dimension their relationship had taken on. He had never seen Zara be anything short of proper, and now he got to see her... affectionate. She was still the same Zara he'd always known and loved, but he was getting to see another side of her, and he liked it.

Oh, and the kissing was pretty nice, too.

Feeling the tone of the kiss change slightly, Braden hesitantly attempted to deepen it, running his tongue lightly along her lip. He didn't want her to panic and pull away from him, but he had to try. After all, he'd never find out what sorts of things she liked if he never tried anything, right?

She didn't really know what to think about any of it. She was of course nervous about all of it, she wasn't really sure how all of this happened, but she did enjoy the feeling of being close to him.

As she felt his tongue on her lips, she opened her mouth slightly, she was going to go with this, she was going to stop being nervous and really just enjoy kissing him. After all it felt really good to her... Even though she was nervous. She let her tongue leave her mouth towards his.
