Samantha took a hair tie from her jewelry box and pulled her hair back. It didn't take long for her to get ready. Though she was still slightly worried on how she looked, even though she was sure that Shane wouldn't care. Shane. Samantha felt so bad that they haven't been able to spend time together. The two had been busy with homework and Shane being sick and with Samantha having rounds. It was nice that the two finally had time to just sit together and hang out. Closing her journal, she headed down to the common room to meet up with Shane. When she arrived, she looked around and smiled.

Seeing the back of Shane's head, she grinned as she crept up behind him. Raising her arms she stood on her toes to try and cover his eyes with her hands. "Guess who?"

A huge smile spread across Shane's lips when she covered his eyes. Tristan had just left the room, probably to go meet Mandy. He was so happy to see that the lovebug had finally stung him. But Shane felt that his own relationship with Sam was slipping. Time was zooming by. Even though she remained on his mind all the time.

Turning around, his arms instantly wrapped around her in a huge bear hug. "I've missed you," he stated, smelling of the delicious scent of her hair.

	Samantha returned the hug eagerly. "I've miss you too." Getting up on her toes again, she gave him a quick kiss followed by another kiss only she made it last longer. "Definitely missed you." Shane's hands fell to her tiny waist as he pulled her closer after the second kiss. Yes, there was a huge pile of homework on his desk. Yes, there was Tristan asking him tons of stupid questions. But none of that mattered. Sam made him feel spectacular.

His white teeth shown brightly through his huge smile. His fingers were laced in hers as she lead him to the couch. He let her take a seat first, as he always did, and then he sat beside her. His arm rested on the couch, curved around her shoulders. "Hmmm...busy," he stated with a sigh. "What about yours?"

Samantha leaned against him and smiled. "Busy," She replied letting out a small smile. "Well thankfully we have holidays coming up so it'll be nice to relax. Oh! Speaking of which," Samantha added as she sat up to turn towards him. "Were you planning on going home for Christmas or staying here. Unless you really want to go home, I mean I was kinda hoping we could stay here, since we haven't spent much time together I figured it'd be perfect for us."

Shane laid his head on top of hers. He breathed deeply, starring into the fire. Snow flurries fell to the ground. he could see it through the window from the corner of his eye. "You know, I'll have to get back to you on that one. I haven't discussed the Holidays with my parents yet. Before they mentioned a ski trip. I'm not sure. I'll have to talk to Braden. But your offer sounds very...very nice," Shane told her. He had to remember to write to his parents that very night. It was easy to see where he got his procrastination from.

Shane leaned his neck down and kissed her on the cheek.

"That's fine. My brother wanted to stay here so I figured I'd stay too and give mum and dad a romantic Christmas." When he kissed her cheek, she couldn't help but smile. Her eyes closed for a moment and just laid there. Samantha was so relaxed and comfortable.

Taking his hand, she squeezed it gently then kissed the back of it. "See, this is way better than doing homework and prefect rounds."

The fire made him sleepy. It had been a very long day and his brain hurt, if that was possible. It was over worked. Wasn't his seventh year supposed to be easy? Well it wasn't. He looked down at her, observing her beautiful face, taking in her expression. "I would sure hope so," he stated, softly. "Sam..." he began, pausing to get his words right. But it was simpler than he thought. "Would you go to the Ball with me?"

"Of course!" Samantha replied, obviously happy that he asked her. Though they were going out, so technically he didn't have to, but she wasn't sure if he wanted to go, plus it was just adorable when he did ask her.

Leaning up she give him a kiss. "You're getting better you know, not being so nervous. Even if it is adorable, I'm glad you're more comfortable around me."

Shane grinned down at her, happy that she accepted. He didn't much care for those type of events. They got old after the fifth or sixth year. But it was his duty as her boyfriend to ask her. Plus he wanted to. He was positive Rosalie would be attending, so there would be no awkwardness. He had pretty much forgotten about her. She was just some ghost in his past. He did not look at her the same way as he used to. Now he had Sam and Sam made everything perfect.

He chuckled nervously, rubbing the side of his face with his index finger. She was correct. He didn't stutter or ramble like he used to. "I..umh...thanks," he said not meaning to reverse the progress he had made. He sighed. "It's just because I know you so much better. You are the easiest person I've ever met to talk to," he told her sincerely, kissing her forehead.
