Who: Cordelia Vaisey and Zara Flint
What: She’s incredibly annoyed and frustrated over the turn that this post took and needs something to distract her.
When: the afternoon of Tuesday, the 29th
Where: under a tree by the lake
Rating: TBD
Status: Incomplete, open.

If there was one way to truly get on Cordelia’s bad side, it was to make her feel uncomfortable and offended. What had started out as an evenly matched argument had quickly become what felt like an attack on her lack of a sex life. Sex was, by far, the topic with which she had the most discomfort. Sharing her beliefs on the subject had been perfectly fine at the beginning, but his questioning of her reasoning behind her beliefs and how she could come to them without the proper research unnerved her dreadfully. So she was forced to end the conversation by fleeing from it, an embarrassing way to leave an argument.

The worst part of the entire situation was, however, the fact that he had a point. Her logical side told her that he was perfectly correct in saying that she didn’t really have a right to have an opinion on something she’d never tried. But the thought of trying it made her nauseas. Plus, it wasn’t as if she had anyone (or anyone potentially, for that matter) that she trusted enough to go that far with. So it was really a stalemate situation.

She really, really needed her piano. Or something new to research. Essentially, she needed a distraction before she thought more about what Miklos had said and decided it was a necessary experiment. Seeking this distraction, she’d made her way from her dormitory through the school, heading outside (though she looked for that room Alice had mentioned along the way, having no luck in actually finding it). It was after all of this that Delia ended up sitting under a tree beside the lake, burying her nose in a book as she fought off all of her more frustrating thoughts by losing herself in The Count of Monte Cristo.

Zara gave a half smile thinking about it. "Not worth the trouble really, I imagine he'll find himself in enough trouble on his own. Besides, he really is a good chaser, not exactly the best captain though." She commented, she didn't like the way he treated people all the time, and didn't find him to be the most effective captain.

She gave Cordelia's words some thoughts before answering, it was a good point, maybe he did fancy her? It seemed kind of impossible to her, and she wasn't exactly sure how she'd feel about it. She cared about him deeply, and if she thought about it was a good looking guy. Zara considered him to be one of her best mates, it was hard to imagine life without him if she were honest with herself. For some reason getting to the point where he'd fancy her seemed a bit off.

"Perhaps. I suppose the only way to figure any of it out is to talk to him. It is safe to say I do miss him." She admitted softly. It was slightly odd to be this honest with someone she didn't know well, however Zara had the feeling that Cordelia may get her better than some others, even some whom knew her better.

She sighed, nodding. “I’m sure you’re right. I really hope that when he does get whatever is coming to him, though, I’m there to witness it. It will be a truly rewarding sight to see him finally get put in his place. I’d be forever grateful to whoever can accomplish that feat,” she responded.

“Honestly, it just sort of… annoys me to see people like him acting so high and mighty. Really, after all our world as been through over the years, you’d think he’d realize that he ought to calm down that arrogance of his,” she said, shaking her head.

In response to her admission, Cordelia nodded. “I think that’s probably true. If anything, it’ll at least tell you why he’s acting the way he is. If he likes you, that’s a good thing. If he doesn’t, then you’ll have one less reason.”

"I'd be surprised if it didn't happen in the next year." She said shrugging slightly with a smirk. She was pretty sure that'd be amusing at least to see. She figured they'd see it.

"They might not have anything else." She said thinking about it. "OR they need that to make themselves feel better." She said softly. Zara found it annoying, and dumb.

"Hopefully I can get him to stop and talking to me. He's been avoiding me lately. Perhaps I'll stop him tomorrow. He has to talk to me at some point." She muttered softly.

"That would be brilliant," Delia responded. "It really would be a wonderful day for the rest of us." The sheer idea of him finally getting a taste of his own medicine was an incredibly pleasant one.

"You're probably right, actually," she said, nodding. "That's quite pathetic, isn't it?"

She nodded. "That sounds like a very good plan. Do let me know how it goes, won't you? I'm rather curious..."

"It really would be, we could make it a mini holiday." She said laughing slightly. Zara shrugged at the thought again.

"It really is, but what does one expect from someone who doesn't think past themselves and Quidditch.. I love Quidditch, but there is a lot more to life, perhaps someday he'll figure that out."

Zara thought for a moment. "I will let you know how it goes, hopefully I get some sort of answer. I doubt he can hide from me forever. He's supposed to be one of my best mates!"
