There was a good thing that there wasn't much for Samantha to do during Prefect rounds that evening. Because she could hardly concentrate on her work. Her mind switched back and forth between the kiss that her and Shane shared and the conversation that they were going to have once she was done. Her heart thundered as she thought about it, could he possibly tell her that he was heavily medicated and didn't know what he was doing and that he didn't really like her like that? It seemed possible. Ugh. Maybe she could slow things down so she'd get back a little late and maybe he wouldn't be waiting on her? No. That wouldn't solve anything. At any rate, maybe he was telling her the truth. Maybe he did like her!

As soon as rounds were done, she sprinted back to the Gryffindor tower. Hoping that he didn't give up on her. She was out of breath by the time she made it to the portrait, taking her time to catch her breath and say the password, she climbed in and saw that it was a little dark, the fire was dying. Sighing she looked around, "Shane?" She called out. Wondering if he had already went to bed.

Shane could not erase the smile from his face and he didn't want to. "You have good taste, so I knew it would be good," he stated taking her hand in his. He propped his elbow against the couch and leaned his head against his hand.

His eyes looked around the room, his mind searching for a question. "If you could re-do anything in your life, what would it be?" He asked.

Samantha gave it some serious thought but what she found was that she really couldn't think of anything she would want to re-do. "Well, I suppose I would re-do some fights in the past that I've had with my mum, but either nothing real bad has happened in my life that I would want to re-do or..for the most part I wouldn't want to re-do anything. Everything happens for a reason, that's how you learn." Realizing she was talking a lot she closed her mouth and smiled and shrugged.

"If there was one thing you could do before you die, anything you want and you wouldn't get into trouble or anything, what would it be?"

Shane leaned his head on his hand, listening to her. He could listen to her for hours. She did not have a monotone voice like many of the professors, it was musical and soothing. He smiled at her sweetly, happy that she was content with her life.

With her question, many many answers popped in his head. "Way to give me an easy one," he stated sarcastically. "It's impossible to name just one. I want to go deep sea diving, I wanna go to Rome, to Ireland, I wanna lay on a beach with a girl in my arms," the last answer made his cheeks grow a little pink. She had a way of taking what little macho ego he had away from him and stripping him down to just the one true Shane.
