who: Gianna & Cameron.
what: Fixing his welts and performing a healing spell.
where: Outside, down by the lake where Gia usually studies.
when: Early evening after the Quidditch match.
why: Healing spells are Gianna's talent and she's really worried in a good mood.

Gianna held loosely onto the edges of her textbook as she stared across the dark surface of the lake's icy waters. The studying she had been meaning to do was long in the past as her mind quietly wandered through the many layers of her dreamscape. It was growing harder and harder to escape the many thoughts that revolved around the beautifully sculpted face of the one boy she had been trying so impossibly to ignore. Her face involuntarily moved into a frustrated grimace. There she went again, slipping into the same lockjaw hold that he had managed to grab onto her thoughts. With a sigh of aggravation she ripped herself from the depths of her mind while literally throwing her head to the side.

"You okay?" the voice sent an immediate blush rippling across her pale features. How long had he been standing there?
"Fine, thanks," Gianna said looking up to see the same frame that had just been haunting her mind's eye. "Glad to see you made it."

Cam had decided that if Gianna really could heal some of his injuries, he'd be extremely appreciative. Besides, she was a pretty girl and he truly did like her--not just because she was pretty, however. But because she knew what she wanted and she knew what she didn't. He just was having a hard time of discerning which side of the fence she'd put him on. As he found his way over to the lakeside, he saw her sitting by herself, obviously deep in thought. But her expression wasn't as much thought as it was something else. "You okay?" he asked, standing just beside her, his own expression echoing her concern. Gianna's reply seemed to attempt to brush his concern away, but he was resistant. He settled on the bank by the lake and looked out onto the waters as well before his eyes flittered their focus to her face again.

"Thanks for doing this, by the way," his voice sounded again, shaking them both from the previous silence. "I really appreciate it." At least no one had to worry about Cam being a healer.

As Cameron took a seat, Gianna fumbled with her books for a second, the usual grace she had now temporarily gone form her mind. She managed to shove them all into her bag without loosing any of the papers in her clumsy hands. Finally, she took a breath and turned to him completely composed. Any sign that she had been daydreaming about him were hidden beneath her cool exterior.

"It's alright," Gianna said modestly. "I just have a weird knack for healing spells. I think it's Zach's influence, but my mum thinks it's my wand," she explained in her musical voice. "Mind you, I can't hex to save my life."

He snorted in reply and rolled up his sleeves to show off his damaged hands. "And I can hex the pants off of anybody, but my healing is..well, better left to professionals. Or very pretty brunettes." His smile lingered for awhile before his wiggled his broken fingers (they were attempting to mend, but Cam wouldn't STOP trying to use them).

"My dad's pretty bad when it comes to all things magic anyway, so I don't really try much with healing spells in the first place. But I wanted to chase the team around with a new song chant I'd made up and broken fingers won't cooperate with a pick long enough to strum."

Gianna took Cameron's arm carefully in her slender fingers, the other hand tracing over the welts trying to figure out a spell for them. "If you like pretty brunettes taking care of you then you should have gone to see Nurse Hiddlebottom," came her teasing reply, but her cheeks were already a blazing pink color. She noted his bruised joints and frowned when he moved them. "Stop, you'll make it worse," she said with furrowed brows. "My spell will be useless if you're just going to fiddle until I'm done."

Gia listened to Cameron again as she reached into her bag for her wand. "Chase the team around? You're going to terrorize your already injured teammates?" the idea seemed like something only he would come up with.
