Saxen Krum and Dustin Towler.
Who: Saxen Krum and Dustin Towler
What: Chatting.
where: Ravenclaw Common Area
When: After Classes before Dinner; Monday October 23rd 2022
Why: Because.
Rating: TBA
Status: Incomplete

Saxen was sitting on one of the couches near the window as she looked over her Defense Against the Dark Arts report. She wasn't sure how far along Frank was on his part, but she was putting time into it. She was already able to get her wolf to do nearly anything, but she still needed to work on keeping it around for a little bit longer. It wasn't that she didn't have it around for a long time, she just didn't want to let it go away as quickly as she had been that morning. Saxen figured it was due to her current attempt to try and figure out what to wear to the Halloween Ball, or maybe it was because she was annoyed with her sister. All Saxen did was make sure everything was organized. She didn't want to go deal with her sister any more than she had too. She had Quidditch to worry about. With Bryce being a complete and total egotistical prat she couldn't wait to beat him. She didn't even want to think about what Frank or her brother were planning yet. Actually part of her really did want to know. Frank hated her for no reason, and sometimes Saxen was pretty sure her brother didn't much like her at all. That was okay she had more important things to worry about.

Everything had just been flying in and out of her mind that she stopped writing and ended up spacing out looking out of the window. It felt like a really long time since she'd just remembered to relax. Not that she was ever good at relaxing. Perhaps she'd go see how Jenna was doing.. The thought caused her to grab her schedule, she marked down for the next morning to owl Jenna and see how she was doing. It amazed her sometimes how much more time she spent worrying about the Towlers than she did her own family... She could blame Dustin for that, and she would the next time she saw him.

Dustin had been in the library, working on his Defense Against the Dark Arts project, until he got fed up with that and the fact that there was a group of particularly loud third years. Before he had to witness it getting any louder or a messy breakup from the Head Girl or the librarian, Dustin left and headed back to Ravenclaw.

The portriat hole opened and he walked inside, still in his school uniform since he had gone straight from . Entering the common room, he looked a bit tired, his bag slung over his arm, until he spotted Saxen sitting in one of the chairs. She was about the only person that he never minded talking to, except Oliver, since he was like the brother he never had. Sometimes his sisters were a bit too much to take when he was tired, but with Saxen, that was never the case.

"Hey, Sax," he said, coming around to the front of her chair.

Saxen looked up smiling when she saw Dustin. "I was just thinking I needed to blame you for something." Of course it wasn't anything terrible at all. Saxen just enjoyed giving him a bit of a hard time. She wasn't in her uniform anymore as she figured she'd change after her last class.

She moved some hair behind her left ear before giving him a slightly worried look. "You alright?" She asked with a typical half worried look on her face. She knew perfectly well that she really didn't need to ask that. She figured he was tired and probably slightly annoyed at something, what she didn't know.

Dustin raised his eyebrows with a small smile. "Oh really?" he said with a laugh, falling back into the arm chair in front of her. "What else is new?"

Sliding his book bag off of his arm and onto the floor, he stretched out his legs, relaxing in the comfort of the armchair. "I'm fine," he replied, "just tired." It was nice how Saxen was always worried about him, but he wished she wouldn't be. She was always worrying about something, she didn't need anything else on her plate.

"I'm going to kidnap one of your sisters tomorrow or... the next day." She said looking up as she thought about her Tuesday. Tuesday was a busy day with Quidditch in the morning, clubs, and the other things she found herself helping with. It never really ended, but she'd be bored if it did. She figured kidnapping Jenna would be fun. "It's all your fault too." She said laughing, it was just too easy to blame him for things like that.

She nodded figuring as much. "Maybe getting some real rest would be a good idea." She said softly with a small shrug. "Oh. Any idea what we are going to go as to this ball? The girls were asking me about it last night." She said shrugging slightly, she was speaking of the girls in her dorm. It seemed to be the most popular point to talk about lately. She hadn't really taken the time to ask Dustin what he though seeing as she was dragging him as her date so she didn't have to worry about going with someone else, or worry about making sure he'd have fun.

Dustin raised a brow at Saxen, a small smirk playing on his lips. "Kidnapping one of my sisters?" he asked. He was used to it by now. Saxen was very clsoe to his family, especially his sisters...especially Jenna. She looked up to Saxen, he knew that, and Saxen filled the void that was left by her siblings by taking care of his. "And why is it my fault?" he asked with a laugh.

Dustin adjusted himself in his seat, crossing legs at the ankles. "I do get rest," he said. It was only half a lie. He did sleep, after he was up late. He had a lot of studying to do, in order to get amazing grades on all his N.E.W.T.S. He couldn't afford to fail, not now. He needed to get into the Auror program. When the subject switched to the ball, he was oddly relieved. He'd rather talk about costumes and the Halloween ball rather than himself. "That's all up to you," he answered with a wave of his hand. "I trust you." He gave her a small smile. He knew that she wouldn't put him in anything ridiculous, frilly or bright colored that would get him teased. He had complete faith in his best friend that they'd look good at this ball.

Saxen nodded. "Yea, completely your fault. Your sister is going to a ball soon and she'll probably need a little encouraging, and a costume. So it is all your fault." She said, Saxen knew it wasn't really at all his fault and that she had terrible logic, it wasn't logic at all, it was really just giving him a hard time. Although she was just happy that he didn't mind that she stole his sisters all the time. They might as well be her sisters, she actually spent a lot more time with them than her own sister.

"Uh huh." She said giving him a skeptical look, she wouldn't push it, she just wanted him to rest and have fun too. Saxen knew perfectly well that we could get into the Auror program, they'd be stupid not to take him, he was smart, talented, and had a good heart... What else could they need?

"Leaving the heavy lifting to me? That's not fair." She said with a thoughtful look on her face, she'd just have to go do some research and come up with something quickly. "Alright. I'll take care of it." She added. "You're lucky you are going with me, anyone else would fuss about it." She said with a smile. She didn't really mind, but it was sort of amusing that she would get costumes for both of them. She could ask... Kairi or Jenna for help. She wouldn't really ask any of her dormmates or many of the girls in their year.

Dustin nodded his head in response. "Well thank Merlin for you," he replied truthfully. "Make sure her costume covers her, alright?" His lips curved in a small, tired smile. Sure, Jenna had her sisters, but they were all so different. Dustin loved each of his little sisters individually, but they didn't have a mother, and him and his father were pretty useless when it came to girl things. He was lucky to have a friend like Saxen that could take care of them in that department. "Do you know if she has a date yet?"

Dustin laughed, running his hand over his shortly cropped hair. "Heavy lifting? Sax, you know how useless I am when it comes to this stuff." He gave her a smile. "I just know you'll do a good job at not making me look ridiculous."

"You better say that." She teased. Saxen didn't think of it as anything other than people she cared about, and people she really cared about meant that she'd do anything for them. Spending time with the Towler sisters wasn't anything to her, she loved it. "She has to have fun too you know!" Although she would make sure it was a 'safe' outfit. "I think Chase Creevey wants to go with her, I don't know if she agreed or not." She shrugged slightly. "I'll find out." She added rolling her eyes playfully.

"It is heavy lifting. Maybe I will make you look crazy, just to see what you do next time." She teased with a smile looking down. Even though she wanted to do something like that, she knew perfectly well that she wouldn't.
