There was a part of Piper that knew doing anything with Dean Summerby-Smith was a bad idea. Most girls were aware of his reputation and kept their distance. It was okay to flirt, but Piper had taken it to that next step. They had snogged, and if his last journal had meant anything, it was going to happen again.

But Piper wasn't worried about becoming another one of the girls Dean left in the dust. For the first time in her life, Piper was snogging someone without having any real expectations. Having them hadn't worked out so well the last time. Her eyes landed on the Slytherin boy as she twirled her fork idly between her fingers. Of all the people in the world her mother had to have an affair with, Tony's father...

She sighed softly and dragged her gaze away, catching the gaze of an attractive blonde boy at the Hufflepuff table. Dean was nothing like Tony. That was probably why Piper had turned to him. Once she was sure she had his attention, she tilted her head slightly, offering a small smirk. She glanced to the door, then back at him, before saying goodbye to her friends and heading for the exit. She had a feeling he'd gotten the picture.
