So maybe it wasn't the best idea to go snog someone else a week or so after he had just found out Jessica had a major thing for him, and maybe it was especially wrong considering Athena was Jessica's room mate and there was, in fact, a possibility of her walking in at any moment. But Evan had never been the best at sticking to moral standards. Right and wrong were relative terms. Besides, he found snogging was a much more productive release of frustration than fighting was. And, well, you know, there was the fact that he was Evan Pucey and thus infinitely horny, and ultimately that tended to win over most other things.

Without bothering to fancy himself up as he knew Athena wasn't the sort to care- not to mention the fact that he was hoping to have everything thoroughly mussed afterward anyway- Evan made his way over, knocking briefly on the door, before sticking his head in. As she had said, the room was empty except for one, and such earned a smirk from the blonde boy as he moved to stand at the foot of her bed. "How's it going, love?"

It wasn't fine and Athena certainly wasn't going to let Evan stay around to witness her humiliation. She stiffened as he kissed her and pulled away. She started grabbing her clothing and putting it back on, turning away from him so he couldn't see her face. Athena Malfoy wasn't weak, and the fact that she couldn't even do something as simple as sex was mortifying to her. "Get out."

Evan's eyes widened as Athena's demeanor changed so suddenly. "Athena, what the hell?" he demanded, though he did slip his boxers back on. Sure, it wasn't the most unusual occurence for Athena to have a mood swing, but generally speaking she didn't get pissed off at him for doing something gentlemanly. That kind of thing was supposed to make girls happy, not pissed off at him.

Athena paused for a moment to pull her shirt over her head. It also gave her a moment to get herself back into control, although she still didn't turn around to face him. Apparently he though she was mad at him, that was alright anger was something she could deal with. She'd rather he think she was angry than what she really was, which was scared. She'd never let him know that. "I said get out." She spoke very slowly so her voice wouldn't break.

	"I didn't do anything!" he snapped, before pausing. "Is that the problem? Are you pissed at me for letting you say no becuase last time I checked girls appreciated the opportunity!" Athena was completely dressed now and she started gathering up his clothes as well. She turned and threw his pants at him, which gave him an opportunity to get a look at her expression which showed that she was terrified. Whatever weaknesses she had she certainly didn't show to anyone else and she'd certainly never cried outside the privacy of her room and for anyone else to see that would be a downfall to her. "I-, it's just-. Nevermind!"

What the hell was that? There was emotion on Athena's face, and it stunned Evan, his jaw dropping slightly as he stared at her back. He slid on the slacks she had thrown at him, and as he buttoned them he slid around to her front, grabbing (albeit not forcefully) her upper arms. "Athena, are you... I mean, there's nothing wrong with being a virgin, or wanting to stay that way."

"That's not the problem." Staying a virgin wasn't a problem, saying no was never a problem Athena had. She'd never been embarrassed about her decisions before. The problem was that she'd said yes, she'd said yes and then freaked out. Athena had never backed out of anything once she'd started before in her life, why was she starting now? And now Evan was going to know she was weak and ridiculous, like every other silly little girl. "I don't want to talk about it."

"If it's not the problem, then what is?" he asked, frowning. "Did I do something?" He didn't think he'd done anything to upset her, what with him actually ignoring his penis for once and bothering to give a shit about someone other than himself. She was obviously upset about something, and even if they tended to end up in less than platonic situations, she was his friend. She was one of the few people who saw things the way he did, and he wasn't keen on her being angry with him.

"You didn't do anything. This whole thing is my fault." Her own stupid fault for not listening to her normal advice. If you have a weakness you either overcome it or avoid it, in this situation she should have avoided it. She wish he'd just leave her alone and go away so she could have her moment in peace. Now she'd have to avoid him, she'd never be able to see him without seeing how spineless she'd been. "Please, just don't mention this ever again."

"This whole thing?" Evan blinked at her. "Athena, this isn't a big deal." He hoped that wasn't going to get him into trouble. Girls had a knack for twisting blokes words around. "So you want to stay pure for marriage- that's fine. Hell, it's kinda hot, honestly." He shrugged. "Besides, we might be the ones getting married anyway, and I know I want my wife pure." He grinned at her, hoping his light teasing would improve the situation some, but having some serious doubts.

She crossed her arms and glared at him. "It is a big deal! What sort of idiotic person is afraid of something so ridiculously not important?" She'd used the word now, afraid. Great, this whole situation was completely out of control, she didn't know how to deal with out of control things. She stomped her foot at him, she could feel her eyes welling up and just wanted him to get the hell out of her room. "Why would we get married anyway? Apparently we wouldn't be able to even make an heir."

Evan couldn't help himself. He let out a small burst of laughter at her last words. "Athena, just because you aren't ready now doesn't mean you won't be in a couple of years or even a couple of months." He refrained from adding a humorous besides, we can always adopt afterward. He had a feeling that wouldn't go over well. "There are lots of girls who wait until marriage. I've been shot down before." Yeah, okay, so that wasn't a pleasant fact to admit, but it was true. "It's an intimate thing, Thena. Us," He gestured to the two of them. "We're not so great at the whole intimacy thing, you know."

	"Stop laughing! This isn't funny at all." The whole situation was uncomfortable, she'd never had to be comforted before and it was really strange. 	Okay, so that was a low blow. The shock registered briefly on Evan's face, before it quickly disappeared, and he sighed, stepping away from her. "I'm sure that's it, Athena." For a moment she felt guilty, Evan wasn't a person she attacked for no good reason. Even if she was angry with him, she didn't normal go that low. "I wasn't-." She stopped herself from saying it. No way was she going to tell him she had no intention of sleeping with Dean, that he had been the only person she'd though about. Fighting was tiring when you actually cared what the other person though. "All the suitors care about is if I'm rich, so I'm sure they'll be fine."

	"Yeah, I'm sure," he muttered, brushing a hand through his hair so he would look slightly less dishevelled as he left her room. Why he gave a flip about her reptuation at the moment he wasn't entirely sure, but he didn't want to wander out of her room with sex hair, especially considering there had been no sex involved. 	"Nothing, there's nothing else." She wasn't angry at him anymore, just tired. She watched from her bed as he left the room, not even comprehending that he'd fixed his hair for her.
