Evan had put up with a lot of shit lately. Sure, he hadn't handled everything particularly well, but he hadn't gone up in flames. But sometimes things get to be too much, even for those who made a living off of acting unaffected. Tony had told Jessica things, things that obviously were meant for him alone. He had run off and blabbed them all to her, to win her over and make her feel better and to make Evan into the bad guy.
Wasn't it funny how life worked? The people you trusted the most turned out to be nothing but lying pieces of trash. First his brother, then his best friends. What was next? Were his parents going to announce that he wasn't qualified to be the heir to his family now?
His first class had been a painful experience. He had been glaring a hole through the back of Tony Flint's head for the entire period, and once the bell had rung, he was walking behind him, fists clenched. People were bumped rudely out of his way as he kept walking, paying no mind to their glares as he got closer and closer and then finally without warning, in a move he would never have dreamed of a month ago, he was tackling what used to be one of his best friends to the ground. "You fucking piece of shit!"
