Isabella sighed softly against Ben's lips. It still caught her offguard how nice it felt being close to him. He had been her first kiss, a very unexpected one, but one she had regretted only for the briefest of moments when he had shunned her several weeks ago. He had apologized, however, and Isabella had forgiven, though maybe not entirely forgotten the incident.

She wasn't thinking about that now, however. In fact, she wasn't thinking about much as her hands snaked up to his hair, comfortably positioned upon the oversized couch the room had provided for them. She was still getting used to this whole snogging thing. Even if Ben had dragged her a bit more so out of her shell, she was still a quiet, shy thing, and the onslaught of feelings that came with it, but she did her best to keep up, and Ben hadn't exactly been complaining, so she reasoned she must have been doing something right as she edged closer to him.

Don't cry. If boys hated it so much when girls cried, why did they insist on causing it so often. Girls didn't just cry for the fun of it, or at least Isabella didn't. She stared at his hand, unwilling to move closer, partially because she didn't want to be close to him if he told her no, and partially because he still had a hard on, and she wasn't sure she could handle being close to it at the moment. "What did you mean?" she asked weakly.

Who could blame boys for not wanting girls to cry? It was uncomfortable, awkward, and it was usually their fault. In the cas eof Ben, it was almost always his fault. Especially when it came to Bella. And he never knew what to do to stop it, either. "I don't know," he said with a sigh, letting his hand fall down to the couch. "I didn't mean anything, I didn't know what to say," he admitted. "You caught me off guard," he continued, "I just.." he sighed again, letting his head fall back against the couch. "You know I've never done this before.."

Isabella's arms moved up around her torso, to hug herself. He still hadn't asked her. Was he going to? "I've never done this before either," she pointed out softly. Ben had much more experience with women than she had with men. That was for certain. She didn't understand why it was so hard for him. They spent a lot of time together. They had even gone to that dance thing together! They kissed! Why was it so difficult? "If..." She swallowed nervously. "If you don't want to date me, just say it now, please," she whispered.

Ben let out another sigh. "I don't not want to date you, Isabella," he said faster than he realized it was going to come out. Lifting his head again, he opened his eyes. "I do want to date you." It surprised him again. That came out easier than he realized. Was he actually ready for a real girlfriend? It had been awhile, and it wasn't like he planned on seeing anyone else. It was a miracle that he had even stayed this long with Bella. He actually liked her. "I do."

Isabella looked over at him as he spoke, the word 'don't' making her throat constrict before he finished his sentence. He... wanted to date her? She could hardly believe she had heard it, and there was a part of her that wanted to make him repeat it, but she was honestly afraid he might take it back if she did. "You do?" She took a hesitant step toward him. "Really?"

Ben nodded, lifting his hand again to motion for her to come towards him. "Yes, really," he replied. What did he have to lose? He was already far into this, if she wanted to be with him, then she would get it. It scared him that he would do almost anything for her, even get into his first relationship to make her happy. But he would. Elena was going to get quite the kick out of this.

Pulling her closer, he grinned at her as her eyes darted down. "It's okay, it's pretty much gone...thanks," he joked, rolling his eyes. Nothing like a hard-on ruiner like popping that big question into the air. Not that he didn't want to be with her, because he would have walked away already if he hadn't. He smiled, though, at the sight of her face. She looked so happy. For once, he wasn't making her cry.

	She laughed weakly, the pink of her cheeks turning red as she ducked her head into his chest. Sometimes she forgot how much taller than her he was, nearly an entire foot. She liked it, though. 	Ben grinned wide. He loved the fact that she was so awkward and shy. She couldn't even say penis. "My penis? It's alright. And you know, it's not that bad of a word. You can say it." 	Isabella's eyes widened slightly as he told her she was allowed to talk about his... stuff. Isabella was not the sort of person who was comfortable with those kinds of 'dirty' words. 'Penis', 'vagina', 'sex', or heaven forbid 'masturbation' were not going to come out of her mouth without a fight. "I don't care if you say it," she said with a embarrassed smile. 	"I don't know. It's just..." Gross? Embarrassing? Not exactly lady-like (though Bell had pretty much never been lady-like)? "I don't know." Maybe it had something to do with the fact that Bella had no experience with any of those sorts of things. It was hard to talk about things you didn't know much about. Ben raised an eyebrow. So much for making her happy. "Well.." he tried to think of a reasonable answer to that question. "Not..really?" Sure, it mattered to him. Did she except him not to want..something? Especially if she was his girlfriend. Sure, she was innocent, but couldn't she, you know, fool around a little? Maybe it was too early. "No, it doesn't," he said finally with a sigh.

She lifted her head slowly to look at him, biting her lip nervously. His sigh revealed that he wasn't entirely happy about that answer, and she'd heard said sigh an awful lot lately. "Ben... I'm sorry I freaked out. I was just... not expecting that. And it's not... I mean," She was stumbling over her words again, back to the old nervous habits. "It's not bad, but that's... It's never happened to me before because well," She laughed nervously. "No one's ever, you know, looked at me in that light to feel that way, so I mean..." She was rambling now. "It's natural to get caught off guard, but I still shouldn't have been so dramatic and everything and-"

	"I am?" she asked softly. She knew that she looked different than she used to, more mature for sure, but the concept of being pretty was one that she applied to other people, not herself.
