Isabella had never had to deal with this sort of thing before. The closest she'd ever come to a date was meeting Adam Pucey regularly in the library, and she'd never had to think of anything like what to wear to those before. It was easy. She just went in whatever she had on! But this was something entirely different. She was supposed to dress nicer for a date, right? Well, this wasn't a date, was it? Or maybe it was! But she didn't want to assume, and dress nicer when she shouldn't have. Then there was the fact that they were going flying, which wasn't exactly the sort of outing you dressed nicely for.

After staring at all the clothes in her posession for a good thirty minutes, Isabella finally gave up and shoved them all away, leaving her dormitory without changing out of her school uniform, broom in hand. She hoped he hadn't been waiting long for her. She had taken a bit longer than she'd planned with the whole clothing decision, but when she got there, she found no one at the quidditch pitch.

Brow furrowing, she moved to the center of the pitch, sitting down and leaning back on her hands. Was he coming? Had she come all the way out here for nothing? Technically, she supposed she could just fly by herself, but she had gotten her hopes up, and she knew it wouldn't be the same.

"I don't know..." She tilted her head as she looked up at him, her hand dropping to his shoulder. "Because you're... different, I guess." Very different, especially when she compared him to Adam, the only other boy she'd ever really considered kissing before. She was caught off guard by the thought of comparing the two of them. The only thing they had in common was being pureblooded, really. He was loud, Adam was quiet. Adam was studious, Ben was... not. Adam was controlled, Ben was outgoing. She supposed they were both very handsome, but Adam, even with all his protectiveness had never made her feel like she did right now with Ben.

Bella let her forehead drop to rest against his chest, smiling as she breathed in the scent of him. "You smell nice," she said softly without thinking.

Ben frowned at her comment. Different? What made him so...different? And what made her like him? It got him thinking..which was unusual for him..what made him so special? What was making this innocent little Weasley like him so much? "I am?" he asked skeptically.

But then she hugged him and rested her forehead against his chest and he couldn't help but smile. "Thanks," he said, resting his chin on the top of her head.

	"Yes," she answered hesitantly at seeing his frown. Had she said something wrong? Did he not want to be different? She hadn't meant it in a bad way by any means. "It's a good thing," she added. 	"Oh," he said. He hadn't ever been..different. Actually, a lot of girls told him that he was 'just like all the other guys.' But apparently Isabella thought he was different. "Well, thanks." He stood there for a few moments, arms around her, silently, not sure what to say. Finally he pulled away slowly. "You should be getting back." It was getting late. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Bella would have been rather shocked to hear that Ben was 'like all the others'. To her, he was anything but, and she still had trouble processing the fact that he acted differently around other people than he did around her. She remember how he had spoken of snogging so many girls, drunken nights, breaking hearts. She hoped hers was safe.

"Do I have to?" she asked with a soft laugh. Back to reality, back to consequences and rules.

	Ben laughed. "You're adorable," he said genuinely, leaning down to kiss the top of her head. "And yes, really," he said, knowing that she was probably going to blush and doubt herself. Adorable? She blinked up at him, surprised by the word. "I'm... adorable?" She wasn't sure what she was supposed to think of that. As far as she knew, the types of girls Ben had been interested in never fell under the category of 'adorable', more like... 'hot' or 'sexy', neither of which Isabella felt she fit into.

"Okay." She willed herself away from him, hands dropping to her sides. "I... had fun today," she said softly.

	Ben nodded. "Yes, you're adorable," he replied. "A lot of other things, but adorable is one." Smirking, he stepped away from her. "Me too.." he replied, almost reluctantly, but then he offered it up. He didn't need to hide that he had a good time. 	She felt the usual heat rising to her cheeks and ducked her head. No one had ever said anything like that. Adorable and a lot of other things, especially with other things meaning something good. 	Ben just smiled. He knew she had to go back to her dorm before he got her in trouble, and although he didn't want to, he was going to let her go. Grinning, at the fact that she was bold enough to kiss him on the cheek herself, he nodded his head. "Yeah," he replied, before turning towards the castle. 	He was willing to walk her back to the castle holding her hand? Didn't they run the chance of being seen holding hands in public? Wasn't he put off by that fact? Subconciously, Ben would probably drop her hand if someone came near, or as they got closer to the castle. He knew it was going to happen, deep down, but he didn't realize it yet. He just walked with her to the castle. He liked the way her hand felt in his.

They quietly walked across the grounds, and just as if his mind was looking out for something, he dropped her hand just as they came up to the steps. "So.." he said, stepping up one and looking down at her. "I'll see you later." They both had to go their seperate ways now.
