Scorpius' eyes slowly slid open as the sunlight streaked in through the windows, gently warming his face. He glanced briefly out the window, admiring the Italian landscape for a moment, before slowly returning his attention to the brunette head of curls against his chest.
The wedding had been a bit of a whirlwind for Scorpius. It had been more about his family, he felt, than about the two of them. He had shaken far too many hands, laughed at far too many jokes concerning he and Avalon's 'first' night together, and thanked everyone in attendance with 'sincere' gratitude. But it hadn't been awful by any means. Avalon looked happy, happy and beautiful, and he supposed that was all that really mattered.
A careful hand lifted from beneath the covers to brush her dark hair from her face, a small smile forming at the sight of her familiar features. "Good morning Mrs. Malfoy," he murmured quietly.
