WHO: Westly Nott and Adam Pucey
WHEN: Their first morning in Venice
WHERE: Adam's home in Venice.
WHAT: Waking up.

Westly didn't know what woke him up, but something stirred him from sleep. He felt very warm, and he had blankets and sheets at his back, almost over his head as usual. But there was something else. It was like he attached himself to something... something hard and soft.

He let out a soft moan, not wanting to wake up just yet, and he burrowed his face in whatever he was leaning against... Oh! That was a shoulder! Adam's shoulder to be more specific! And that's when Westly realized where he was and he grinned remembering the night before. It was amazing, and Westly was suddenly realizing how good it was to wake up with Adam right there. He clung to Adam more, not opening his eyes yet.

He probably looked awful. All sleepy, and his hair a mess. Westly let out a yawn and opened his eyes looking to see if Adam was awake next to him. "Morning," he said, his throat dry in the morning. He didn't make any attempt to move. He was still sleepy.

Westly moved his index finger a bit to stroke Adam's cheek, as he lifted his hand to his face. Westly did remember when that was all Westly would allow him to do. Really, what had he been thinking before, by going slow? Not that it lasted very long in the first place. "I wouldn't worry about it too much. I don't want anyone else but you," Westly said listing his cup and taking a sip of his tea as he looked at Adam's pout. "I am. It's everything I expected it to be, and more. I'm already dreading the end of the break, because it's going to feel so looong before we can come back in the summer," Westly said with a sigh as his fork dug into the Eggs Benedict again.

The slightest turn of Adam's blonde head allowe him to grazed the other's index with his lips, placing the softest kiss on his fingertip. At the other's words, it became quite difficult fot him to fight of a smile. "That's good to hear." he said, but his smile was short-lived when he heard the other sigh. Time, tragically, had never been generous to those who need it. "And I know. I wish we didn't have to go back. But we have to. Obligations await to be fulfilled. But I suppose it only leaves us with something to look forward to. And that can never be a bad thing?" He supplied in his attempt to be positive, even though the simple thought of it was already leaving him longing...

Wes smiled at the soft kiss on his finger and he licked his lips. But not because of the food. He was so ready for breakfast to be over... not that he'd tell Adam that yet. "Oh believe me, I will be looking forward to it. Just the break doesn't seem long enough. Especially since we are only taking two days here," Westly said with a shrug as he picked up a slice of banana to eat.

A look of sadness crossed Adam's expression. He wasn't used to seeing disappointment in Westly's face. Since their last big fight, he has grown a huge impartiality to any negative emotion in the other. In this single instance, he wished for many things: for the chance to be with Westly a little longer than a weeks, to assure him that all their plans were set and cannot change even with months they would have to stay in school and perhaps just for a second, to be able to see him smile again. Releasing Westly's hand, Adam stood from his chair and took the spot behind the other. Leaning down, he placed a kiss against the top of the other's head and circled his arms around the other's shoulder. "I don't like seeing you so upset." he whispered, his eyes wandering the landscape painted before them. "We're still going to be together for the rest of the week. I don't like you harboring such negativity this early on." A pause. "Do you want to hear something funny?"

	"Mmmm..." Westly mumbled softly, feeling Adam's arms around him and felt the kiss on the top of his head. "Alright. I'll just think of the positives," he said grinning. Being with Adam all week, it was going to be wonderful. "Hear what?" he said looking up. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Yes. The positives." Adam agreed, burying his face on the other's hair. "It's not really good to dwell on the negative. Especially when you're with me, and we're here in my home. It's not so often that we could be... like this." His tone held hints of relief, happiness, and even he has never heard such a sound from his own tongue. It was a good feeling. "As you may well know seventeen is an important age for purebloods, for our lines. I was told that our dear Scorpius is arranging a meeting with my sister. For marriage reasons." He bit his bottom lip, waiting for the other's reaction before he himself gave his opinions on the matter...

Westly let out a happy sigh, feel Adam wrapped around him, his face in his hair. Speaking things so true... Wes was so grateful to be here, now in Adam's home. Just the two of them. "Oh I am more than aware. I did turn seventeen in January you know," Westly said, reminding Adam of that. But then he gave a narrowed look and stared up at Adam. "Scorpius is considering to marry Annaleise?" he asked. That certainly was surprising. "Well I suppose that whole Wood and Flint scandal, shamed and tainted the Queen of Slytherin for him."

A laugh escaped him at Westly's reaction, even though such was the one he already expected to see. "Yes. Strange isn't it?" he said, hisexpression thoughtful. "My best friend and my twin sister. I mean I feel strange about it, but I don't think I have any real protests against this joining, if this does happen. It's not with the absence of concern that I don't, but rather the presence of... confidence, I suppose. On both parties- Anna and Scorpius. They're both mature enough to deal with this accordingly. With the pressures on their shoulders from their respective seniors, I don't think my meddling would be needed." Adam related, justifying his actions to Westly. It was always effortless to admit these things to him, to tell him what's on his mind without any need for pretenses. Westly never failed to understood him. "I'm certain about one thing though. My father would have a field day if it pushes through." he reached out to take the other's hand, playing with the other's soft fingers almost absently. "If it happens, that would make Phoenix my brother won't it?" A laugh.

"Oh, Avalon remains to be his first choice, though his father suggested Annaliese for there seemed to be no scandals connected to our line." A pause. "Yet, at least." he laughed, though it wasn't an entirely pleasant sound. But he continued, hoping the other wouldn't notice. "If Scorpius' father continues to distrust the Flints, Scorpius will do what his Father wishes him to. He's... a good son in that aspect."

"So you don't have any protests to it, but... do you agree with it?" Westly asked. He wasn't quite sure what Adam was trying to tell him. He smiled briefly at the idea of his boyfriend and best friend being brothers through marriage connections. "Do you think they'll be happy together? Your best friend and your sister... I couldn't imagine Phoenix and Helena... or Calli. It would just be too surreal. I couldn't separate those areas of support," Westly said shrugging and watching Adam play with his hand. He heard that comment about how the Pucey's weren't scandalous yet. "What do you think trumps for scandal. Eldest son in an illicit homosexual affair, or illegitimate son?" Wes asked with amusement.

"I guess you can say that. What else am, I left to do?" Adam said. "Having always been a good follower to what I am told to do, I've learned to be... accepting. Open-minded and not question what others want in their lives even when it's not exactly the best for them, reserving my opinions for myself and myself alone to avoid conflicts of any sort." "Everyone has the right to be happy. It's their decision if they want to be happy together. If they make each other such, then they have my full support." Simple, he thought, then Westly had to be funny. Always the one who pushed him away from negativity... "I don't know." he leaned down and started playfully teasing the other's ear with his lips and teeth. "Which one do you think, hm?"

Westly accepted Adam's answer. It wasn't quite what he would say in regard to his own sister's happiness. He'd want someone to be with them, to take care of them and make them happy. Find love if it was entirely possible. Wes was sure Calli had found it and gotten away from Gregory Goyle for good. Helena... was too young still.

"Has Scorpius ever really expressed interest in Anna before? I know first hand, because Scorpius told me, that he and Avalon weren't really exclusive... but still, it's a silent agreement in Slytherin that no boy touches her, unless they want to be murdered by him," Westly said explaining the point of view he saw. "I just have a feeling your sister is just going to get set up to be hurt. And we we've seen just this year what happens when affairs are revealed," he said shrugging.

Another reason Westly was firmly not even going to attempt to get marriage. Heterosexual relationships were just too complicated. Westly's breath hitched and he felt a tickle at Adam's mouth teasing his ear. "Well... our scandal is certainly not boring."

Adam paused for thought. "No." he told Westly, having not recalled such an occurrence before."And I doubt they've had a few words to exchange. Or if they have, I am completely unaware of it." Then a sigh escaped him at the other's words. "She might." he said. "But you must know pureblood marriages are a... business transaction, Wes. A deal. Happiness is never guaranteed, and is usually scarce. Take my parents for example..." Lightly, he shook his head, though his expression remained neutral.

His teeth caught the curved lobe and sucked on it gently when he felt the other moving towards his touch. "No. Definitely not." he whispered, his tongue darting out to trace the delicate shell before lips moved lower to trail kisses on his neck. "And I hadn't known we were talking about us. I assumed you were being hypothetical..."

"I know, I know. But seriously, I can't stand these mercenary marriages. They're so medieval," Westly said irritated. "If my sister had never caught that Goyle Beast cheating on her, she could be getting married to him in a couple of months once she was out of school. And I know he must have done it many times before, and he would have continued to do it if they were together still. Not that I'm saying Scorpius is like Gregory Goyle... but still. Just because we've grown up with miserable rich parents, doesn't mean we have to follow suit," he said hoping Adam still got his point.

Westly sighed, and whined a bit a the soft bite to his ear. It was sinful what Adam's tongue was doing to his ear... and Westly was in such an unfair position, where he couldn't just jump him. "Well... if not us, then a couple like us. The illegitimate son scandal has been done more times than they can count. The gay scandal is certainly more memorable. It's also a question how where is the heir going to come from? Where with an illegitimate son, there are too many or it's a controversial heir."

"Medieval, perhaps. But practical. Its two goals: blood preservation and security, both of which are easily granted with one move. Perks? More prestige added to an already pure lineage. I can understand why men like my father are incapable of resisting." Adam said, then instantly fell silent at the other's tale, then was taken aback by the tragic end of a once-seen relationship. His eyebrows rose with his surprise. "I hadn't known." he said. "Though I have heard of whispers of a recent fight between Wood and Goyle in Hogsmeade. I suppose now it makes sense..." Hands reached up to softly tangle through the other's dark locks, pushing him from his face. "I know. You should know I understand that completely, else we wouldn't really be here, would we?"

Adam allowed his warm breath to graze over the other's skin, lips pursing as he blowed lightly. "Both are considered scandalous for it is an opportunity for the public to belittle a class far superior than their own. Damaging for the parents, for they will surely be questioned." he continued, lips touching the other's skin but no longer kissing. "It's all a cycle I'm very sick of. Aren't you tired of them, Wes?"

Westly nodded listening to what Adam was saying, and his sympathy for what happened to his sister. The worst thing about it was, it was Westly's mother than never forgave Callidora. Like it was his sister's fault that Goyle was a pig. That's what started Westly's general dislike for his mother... He looked up to Adam at the last bit and smiled at him as he brushed his hair back. "I know. You're going against all that to be with me," Wes said smiling, and appreciating that. And Adam loved him... they weren't going to let go of what they had without a fight.

Westly shivered at the warm breath on his skin. What was Adam trying to do to him? "I am so sick and tired of them..." Wes said agreeing to that question. "They all need to realize they aren't as high and mighty as they think they are."

A smile appeared in Adam's lips. "Of course." he said. "Anything to be with you. I'm too far gone to pull back, Westly. And even if I could, I really wouldn't want to, not if it would take me away from this. From you." The back of his fingers traced the line of his jaw. "It's unthinkable."

"Mmm..." It was with the sudden urge to be naughty that Adam abandoned their small debate on pureblood life that one of his hands snaked inside Westly's chest and started to tease his skin with the attention of his fingers. Then softly, his fingertips grazed a taut nipple, again... and another time, all while his lips kept up their gentle teasings...

"Good. I'm glad I have nothing to worry about," Westly said with a grin shivering at Adam's hands on his jaw. "And I never want to think about having to give up what I want. You," he said looking up with the smile Adam liked.

"What are you..." Westly started to say before he moaned softly at Adam's hands moved down his chest. More teasing? What, was this a continuation from the bedroom? And then he grazed a nipple and Westly gasped. And those lips were still teasing his ear. "Adam..."
