Where will you find me, dear buttercup?

When: March 19, 2023 - Wednesday
Where: The lake out past Hagrid's hut
Rating: TBD

Looking over the six pages of translations parchment she’d just finished for Ancient Runes, Rose rolled them up neatly and placed them in her messenger bag. The library was such a dull place, however informative, so she mostly spent her time sitting down at the edge of the lake. She was there now and once she had her class work finished and securely tucked away, she let herself fall flat on her back in the cool grass, her hands knitted and resting beneath her brilliant red hair.

It almost felt like home on the Burrow grounds. Then again, the school had always held a pleasant second home feel to it. So really, it was like home and away all at once, especially down there where she lounged by the waterside. The sounds of the gently rustling trees, the subtly sloshing ripples of the water, and the melodious dialogue of the various creatures that filled the forest beyond the lake provided an overall calming and serene atmosphere, one in which it seemed as though life just couldn’t be any more astounding. She gazed heavenward, watching with a curious awe as the different shaped flurry clouds passed by. It was about the time when the sun was just beginning to set, casting a glow to the castle grounds. Perfection, it seemed, was something easily come by in the magical place where she attended her studies.

Her feet slipped out of her sleek red shoes and as she sat up, she let the tips of her toes graze the edge of the water. It was cool and refreshing to the touch, bringing a smile to her kiwi flavored lips. She knew well of the mischievous beings that inhabited the lake, so she was careful to be ever so respectful as not to disturb their own reverie. With a reluctant sigh, she replaced her feet back on solid ground.

Helena needed a break, well from just about everything. Her homework was finished and she didn't feel like spending time in the common room or dorm. It seemed most of her own friends were ignoring her now, for what reason she had no idea. Wouldn't be the first time, her own family ignores her. The young girl let out a sigh, no use worrying about stupid things like that now. Taking a walk was supposed to be a great way for her to day dream about other things.

She wasn't sure where she was going, only that she just wanted to get away from the castle for a little bit. Soon her path took her to the lake, well this wouldn't be so bad, she always loved coming to the lake, especially around this time of day. Sticking her hands in her pocket, she glanced down to see a rock in her path. Kicking it lightly she walked along the edge. Giving it another kick, she then noticed a figure in front of her, the rock didn't hit the girl but it came close.

"Sorry." Helena mumbled. Great someone else was here.
