what; Cousins bonding!
rating; PG
status; In progress

Free time is always fun, especially for Samantha. No homework and no Prefect rounds for the evening. Which was a good thing because she was excited to talk to her cousin, Gianna. Reading her entry, she learned that two of her dresses were sold to Paris. Samantha knew that Gianna was excellent at designing clothes and she was happy that she was having her outfits bought already! Coming back from the library, she skipped up the stairs playfully as she made her way to the dorm room.

"Giiiannaaaa!" Samantha sung out as she opened the door, hoping that she was already there.

"Hullo!" Samantha replied as she walked into the room and took a seat on her bed. "How are you doing?" Tilting her head, she looked at what her cousin was working on. A smile grew to her face. It was pretty cool knowing a designer, especially one that's starting to sell her stuff already. Since Samantha had no fashion taste at all, it was helpful to have someone close to her that could help her out.

"I'm great, actually. Super excited." That smile never left her face and it likely wouldn't be for at least a few days. It was almost every young designers dream for their work to see Paris. And having her clothes being sold there was absolutely a dream come true. She sketched in one more line, finishing off a neckline to a drawing of a short casual dress. That was one, two, three, four...five sketches all on one page. Designing was her passion, especially when she was doing it for other people. Her fashion expertise made it fun to help people out. Sam being one such person. "And how are you?"

"That's great, you should be excited!" Samantha replied happily as she moved down to sit on the edge of Gianna's bed. "It's not every day someone your age has their designs bought from Paris!" It seemed like a lot of good things were happening around here. Shane was picked to play for Ireland and now Gianna's clothes were going to be sent to Paris. "I always told you that you'd be brilliant at that." Giving her cousin a familiar encouraging smile.

"I've been doing alright. I haven't gotten a chance to tell you this yet, but I'm sure you might have saw it in his journal already," Samantha started with a smile. "Shane's playing for Ireland when he leaves school." Of course Samantha was very excited for him, but it seemed that the end of the school year was getting closer and closer. It would be rough not having him around next year.

"It seems totally unreal! And it only makes me want to go to Paris more. There's only so much I can learn not living in a fashion capital of the world." She set her sketchbook and her drawing pencil down, turning to face Sam completely. It really did seem like a lot of exciting and good things were happening lately. People being signed to pro Quidditch teams and such. "Yes you did. And I might not be brilliant just yet, but I appreciate that." Gianna smiled back.

"I saw that. You must be really proud of him." But there was always the factor of the school year coming closer to its end. Next year Sam would be a 7th year and Shane would be out of Hogwarts and playing for Ireland. Surely it wouldn't be smooth sailing not having your boyfriend around. "I guess that means you get ace seats for any games that you go to. And you can be his good luck charm!"
