Mum,

Dad dating Sawyer Capper now. And he didn't tell us. Piper found out because they were on a date in Hogsmeade during our Hogsmeade weekend.

We're all upset. Piper is trying to separate herself from the family, Oliver punched out Gregory Goyle in Hogsmeade over his girlfriend, Porter is just scared I think. And I... I don't know what to do. Everyone keeps telling me I should talk to dad. I don't know why. He should hate me now... after everything that's happened. But he's taking it out on Piper instead.

I tried sending him an owl but... I haven't gotten any word yet. I think it's really unfair we're being kept in the dark about what he's doing, especially when he should tell us if he's getting better or not.

I was hoping you wouldn't mind a letter. I just needed to talk to someone... I've talked to Elena about it, she's this girl I'm seeing. But I wanted... just to talk to you. I miss you Mum. I hope you're happy.

You have no idea how happy I am to hear from you. I've wanted to owl all of you kids, but I wanted to give you all the space you needed. This situation isn't easy for any of you.

~~He is dating Sawyer Capper? As in just his best~~. It is probably a good thing that Oliver is starting to move on. He deserves to be happy. Piper saw them together? I wish he would have told you kids, seeing it couldn't have been easy for her.

I didn't think he would take it out on any of you kids, he should be taking it out on me. Jacob, sit with your sister, even if she doesn't want to be around any of you, she needs you. I'll send her an owl as well. ~~One to my ex husband as well~~. You are his son Jacob, he isn't going to hate you, I don't know why he would take it out on Piper, she doesn't deserve, I do.

Ollie punched someone over his girlfriend? I didn't even know he was dating anyone, what is she like? Is she good for him? Talk to Porter, he's got such a good heart, I imagine if Piper is trying to pull away it's breaking him. He needs to know that his siblings are still together.

I'm sorry to hear he hasn't owled you back, he might not know what to say to you, to any of you.

Sweetheart, I never mind if you owl me. I'm always here to talk to you, and I do want to know more about this girl Elena.

I miss you to Jacob.

I'm sorry I didn't owl you sooner. It was stupid not too, when I miss you so much.

I am glad that Dad can move on ~~when you get to be with someone you want too...~~ but he should have told us. And yeah she did. She kind of... punched him.

He was mostly just depressed the whole time we were home for Christmas. I guess I didn't make it any easier not meeting up with him at the station though... ~~did Flint tell I saw him?~~

I don't know if Dad is really doing this, or Piper is just expecting it but... she is the only girl now. She thinks because she looks like you... that Dad is too depressed to look at her.

Well, he'd probably hex me for saying girlfriend. It's Callidora Nott, she's the Head Girl. He asked her to the last ball, and they seem to be getting closer anyway. And he must like her if he was willing to punch someone for her. It's not something Oliver would do regularly. I don't really know her, except that she's kind of a scary not approachable kind of person. But she lets Oliver in, so I don't know.

I'll try talking to Porter and Piper too. I just don't know if Piper will listen to me. Or if I can get through to Porter. He just acts so agreeable sometimes to make everyone else happy.

Everyone asked me to talk to him, so I don't know what to do if he doesn't answer...

I know you are. I just... needed to remember that. And well... Elena, she's one of the youngest Goyles. She's in my year, and she's in Slytherin.

That's okay, you need to do things in your own time.

Your Dad deserves to move on, and to be happy, he should have learned from my mistakes and being honest with you kids is a lot better.

I wouldn't be surprised if she felt like he was taking it out on her, I do know how he can get when he is upset. She's probably being over sensitive, but I doubt she isn't right with some of it.

Well it looks like all you kids have gone for Slytherins. ~~Oliver must had that~~. I'm happy to hear both you and Ollie have found good girls.

I know you can help your siblings Jacob, just let yourself believe that too.

I know... but I still miss you.

Piper is taking it hard, I get that. And I know she can't really go off on her own... but she can't just not be apart of the family.

Well... now that you mention it, Porter has been hanging out with Gwen McLaggen too. She's also a Slytherin, but she's been friends with Piper and Porter for awhile. It's just Piper who's... having issues.

I want to believe I can.

I miss you too.

Our family has changed, and it is hard on all of you. It isn't fair to any of you either. Piper might just feel like she doesn't have a place with the way the family is changing. She's a good person, she'll be okay.

I love Gwen, it is about time Porter opened his eyes to her, she's adorable.

Piper, well, she'll be okay, it might take a lot of time, but it will be okay.

You can Jacob, you're a very strong person.
