WHO: Willow & Legolas
WHAT: Taking it easy with hopes of socializing.
WHEN: Day 2, Early
WHERE: Art Tent.
RATING: PG
STATUS: Complete

Distractions had brought the redheaded witch through her first day in this circus of a prison, she could feel the dark magic attempting to penetrate her skin but she wouldn't let his happen. Willow was justly centered today, it took a lot of meditation the night before to put her in better spirits but this didn't mean she was ready to settle down and call this land of illusion home. Home, it was one of those places you don't overly miss until you are taken from it like an unexpected ear of corn from the crop or a lone puppy from it's mother. Keeping her own peace was where her energies would lay.

Willow wandered the fair grounds and came upon an interesting tent that was set up for paiting, drawing and pottery. It had been a long time since the Wicca had a chance to do any of these things so this looked the the best opportunity. She was weary of the Goblins who lurked there but they seemed pretty harmless. She kept an eye on them knowing they'd be in for a surprise if they were to suddenly get out of line, she would see to it herself.

Art had be something that was known to calm the mind and put people at ease, she hoped it would do the same for her. Choosing her colours, some brushes and a blank canvas she sat on a stool and looked into the white space trying to come up with some sort of image to start with. When an idea sparked she got to work and hardly noticed she was no longer alone to the side of her the seat was now being occupied. "Oh I'm sorry, you startled me a little. It's easy to get caught up in the paint once you get going." She smiled. "I'm Willow by the way, what's your name?"

None of her friends knew that the geeky Wicca also had a bit of an artsy side, it was something she kept to herself she wasn't overly good at it but she got away with making things not look like sticks or blobs which the witch took pride in. Witches were allowed to get away with many secrets and this was one of her favorite, besides cooking.

Her painting was starting to turn into the only face she longed to see once more, the image of her lost lover it was hard to get the woman out of her head no matter how hard she tried but maybe that was a good thing to keep the woman's spirit alive. Willow had kept her eyes on her painting until she realized she wasn't alone, she looked him over fully noting how pretty he was, no handsome, with long flowing hair, some very interesting looking clothing, and then she spotted them, his ears.

She let out a gasp as he introduced himself and couldn't help but let out a giggle to which she abruptly covered her mouth. "Oh my goddess, I-I'm so sorry blessed be indeed my lord!" Willow bowed her head solemnly but still had a smirk on her face trying to hold in her excitement. She felt like a little girl meeting her hero as it processed in her head who she was sitting with. Things in this place were sure strange but if this kept up she figured it wouldn't be so bad. “It's very nice to meet you, I guess Lady Willow Rosenberg of Sunnydale would be more fitting but it just isn't as charming as Mirkwood.”

Willow was biting her tongue then decided it would be best to speak with the Elf in his own language, it was something the nerdy side of herself had been working on learning for years, she never quite pictured it coming in handy in the most extreme way possible. “It's nice to have some company my good Sir, I think we need to stick together in times like these, lost souls need something to cling too in a time of crisis. It's so easy to miss home in these parts, especially with the bizarre things that have been going on like gigantic spiders and meeting some of my favorite characters from literature, I'm just glad I haven't gone totally mad!” She couldn't help but giggle and banter on to the Elf. Labyrinth was starting to have it's perks.

The redheaded woman had almost reminded him of someone else for a second. Someone who had also had hair the shade of fire, something unseen on Middle Earth. Someone he had greeted the dawn with through song. But it clearly wasn't the Lady Giselle, which was too bad. He'd enjoyed her company. On the plus side, however, he got to make a new friend. It was well worth it for him to do such a thing.

He tilted his head to the side thoughtfully, blond hair half-covering his face for a moment before he brushed it back. "She is beautiful." And he meant it. While the girl was not perhaps lovely in the sense that a supermodel would be, he was an elf and from a world where such beauty as the woman that was immortalized on the painting would be considered really quite lovely. So Legolas meant his comment. "She looks shy."

He turned to her, however, confused by her sudden change in demeanor. He arched a polite eyebrow at her. "Are you quite well?" She was acting very oddly suddenly. "Lady Willow of Sunnydale. It is a beautiful name." He took her hand in his and pressed a light kiss to the knuckles. "You have heard of Mirkwood, then? You are not from Middle Earth." He knew this for a fact, again because of the red hair. "Or do you merely guess? Mirkwood is the fairest place..."

Though he was rarely surprised, she had done it twice already. When she spoke to him in his own tongue, although with a strange accent, he almost fell off the chair. He reached out and brushed her red hair back from her ears, checking to see if she was an elf. She didn't look like one, and she wasn't. He shook his head. "I too am enjoying the company." He spoke back in his own tongue, glad to have a chance to use it. "And I miss my home as well."

The pleasantries taken care of, he looked at her more intently. "Would you please explain? I am quite lost." But he didn't sound angry or freaked out. Merely amused and interested. This was a fun game that he was playing with this human. Even if he didn't understand most of what she was saying.

Willow nodded at the stranger who turned out not to be so very strange at all, she had been freaking a few people out lately and she figured another one wasn't exactly going to hurt, though he wasn't really people of course he was an Elf. Then again she was all for equality so if he wanted to be a person it was his right.

She nodded her head when he spoke of the painting. "She is very shy..." She frowned. "Was, yes very shy and beautiful." She bit her lip, looking at the painting with a tilt of her head she noticed she'd done better then she had thought which made her happy.

Willow couldn't help but laugh and realize how crazy she must sound to the Elf. "Oh um yes I'm alright just a little overly excited I guess." She blushed when he kissed her hand, it had been a long time since someone showed her that kind of treatment. This time she was more careful. "Oh well I've read stories, where I come from there are a few of them actually of Middle- Earth.”

She added a few more details of the rings trilogy hoping not to make herself look insane. “So you see I guess you could say I'm a follower of the lore, I've picked up on Elven tongue and also know a few other old languages as well, it's my hobby amongst other things like art, history, wicca.” Willow rambled on a little if he really was who he said he was she'd just meet one of her heroes. “I'm not an Elf no but a witch of the good kind.” She nodded. “May I ask what was going on in your home world when you were taken?” She questioned.

The prince simply looked at the witch for awhile, and then smiled. He did that a lot. He was just the sort of being that would much rather smile than frown. An eternal optimist. And he was enjoying this conversation with the odd witch, though he rarely thought of 'witch' as a positive thing.

"There is great love there, I sense." With a nod toward the painting. "I can feel it in every brush stroke. Beautiful." And he meant each and every word. He was quite young, in terms of being an elf, and he sometimes said tactless things rather than complimenting others.

His eyes widened. "Tales of my home? How is such a thing possible? We have no tales of other lands, except for Valinor, but then that is sort of a part of Middle Earth..." His eyes narrowed, turning a sort of grey shade, as they did when he got thoughtful. "And yet, you say you have tales of my land."

His confusion only grew as she spoke and gave him details that very few would be aware of. "The One Ring was a secret, you realize..." He looked her over, suddenly wary. "Are you an agent of the Dark Lord's, then, Lady Willow? It does not seem you are such, you do not feel foul enough. And I suppose it can hardly matter, here of all places." He sighed softly. "When I left, there was to be a great battle at Helm's Deep. Aragorn, the Ranger who would be King, was leaving in the morning. He thought to sneak off alone, but Gimli and I were going to follow him even on the Paths of the Dead."

Willow hoped he wouldn't think she was trying to pull something on him and take action towards her, but then she thought about it further and if he really was the Elf from her book she knew Legolas was rational and wouldn't hurt a fly if it wasn't necessary. As much as he was looking and smiling at her, she did the same towards him it was the redheaded Wicca's way as well.

She nodded in reference to his comment about her painting and smiled happily. "Yes, Tara, I love her very much." She nodded. "But..but I guess you could say I lost her to battle in my own home." Willow looked longingly at the painting of her lover. "She's always with me though and we meet in the dream world." Her smile came back only with half the brightness.

"Well where I come from there are books, books with tails of your adventures as well as the others, The hobbits, Aragon, Arwin and Gandalf. It's all mapped out start to finish." She rambled on with a few more details then put her hands up in her defense shaking her head. "Yes, I know it's a secret." She paused the slightly panicked. "Oh no, no I don't have anything to do with the Dark Lord or any other being you know of." She sighed a little knowing in her world she did know darkness of another kind. "I'm sorry this must all sound really bizarre, I never meant to offend you or anything, I really like you actually." She grinned and nodded triumphantly.

In all honesty, if he had really thought she was an agent of the Dark Lord, she would be dead already. Yes, it wasn't allowed to kill here, but Legolas was practical about most things, especially things that might threaten all of Middle Earth. But then, he wasn't on Middle Earth, and she didn't feel right. The elf trusted her.

"I see. That is well, then." He relaxed a bit, and even smiled at her. "She is lucky to have such attention from so loyal a friend and lover." He raised an eyebrow. "Dream world? Is this common among humans? I have not heard such, but then, I do not sleep, or truly dream."

He listened as the witch explained, and was shaking his head by the end. "Much of what you say sounds strange to me, but I will trust you." He frowned thoughtfully and tilted his head to the side. "Perhaps you can tell me what happens. Is the ring destroyed? Does Aragorn become King, as he was meant to do?" Those where the main points that had been bothering the elf since he'd been taken, that his friends would have a hard time without his help.

Willow was learning fast that things around here were going to be so different from back home, even though she was sure anything could happen in both places in this world things were going to be far more unpredictable then she could imagine. First Hermione and now she was sitting next to Legolas of her favorite fantasy series having a conversation with him. She wondered what other surprises this strange place was holding not only for herself but the others who were imprisoned there as well.

She smiled wide thinking fondly of Tara her lost lover, she missed the other wicca dearly but she knew she'd always be with her in spirit. “Well yes and no, some people are really in tune with the dream realm and the spirit world but others sometimes don't dream at all let alone see dead friends and family members on some other plane during the state of sleep. I know it must sound really odd to you, but I think Humans for the most part are the funny creatures.” She nodded with a smirk and laughed.

The redheaded witch considered his question for a moment, to which she surely knew the answer but was it really her place to give him that kind of information? Though it might put his mind at ease knowing that things were as they should be in his home world. Willow took a small breath and reached out to cover the Elf's hand with her own giving it a light squeeze before giving the Elf the answered he had be looking for, she smiled warmly and nodded. “Yes they were able to destroy the ring and Aragron was crowed the King.”

Idly, Legolas picked up a tube of oil paint and played with it. He didn't like to stay still for too long, though of course, as a skilled tracker and hunter, he could when needed. But while talking, he liked to move a bit and fidget. The red-haired witch spoke, and he listened, just taking in all the new information. There was a lot of it, and not just the things she said, either.

For example, he could tell much about her just in the fact that she missed her lost lover so much. But even he knew there were things you simply didn't say, and this was one of them. So he just smiled and watched the pretty redhead, feeling like he was more happy just because of the strength of her loving bond with Tara. "I have long since given up trying to understand humans." He spoke with a laugh.

However, when she spoke of his friend Aragorn, and the destruction of the ring, his eyes shone and sparkled with pleasure. He gripped her hand firmly, feeling nearly overcome with this good news. His friend would be king, after all. He couldn't stop smiling, and finally, he threw himself at the redheaded witch and hugged her tightly. "Thank you, Lady Willow. You have set my mind at ease."
