Day 15
WHO: Schuldig and Armand
WHAT: Labyrinth tiems!
WHEN: Day 15, sundown
WHERE: The Labyrinth
WARNINGS: Yeah...I'm going to put this as R straight off, just for it being them
STATUS: Incomplete

It was time. Schuldig had been there fifteen days, by his count, half a month, and he and Armand had known each other for twelve. And, finally, it was time that they go through the Labyrinth, and see what was on the other side. It was good, because the redheaded telepath was beginning to become bored, restless. Jareth had chosen quite possibly the most mundane setting on the face of the earth for today, and if something interesting didn't happen very soon, Schuldig was pretty sure he'd go insane. Or cause someone else to go insane. Schuldig didn't think Jareth would send either of them home, that was too easy. But he'd throw something at them, that was for certain, and that at least would be exciting.

The assassin sat on his bed, trying to get ready to leave, but every time he looked away, Tiger, sensing that something Very Important was going on today and just as restless as her owner, would make some kind of trouble, from climbing the curtains to attacking his hair. At the moment, she was standing on top of Armand's coffin attempting to wake him up by meowing at it, very, very loudly. Usually, Schuldig would have stopped her, but the sun had just gone down anyway. Which, as he thought about it, was probably why she was so desperate for the vampire to wake up. She knew he was nocturnal. At least she had gotten used to him. She seemed to recognize him for a fellow hunter, if an unnatural one, and brought him 'gifts', rats, spiders, and the occasional bird.

Schuldig chuckled at her meows, shaking his head and muttering to himself in German, "Best alarm clock ever," as he buttoned up his shirt, having only woken up an hour ago himself. It was funny, how he had adapted to Armand's schedule. He had already been semi-nocturnal, always preferring to sleep in late and stay up later, and having a job that supported that helped. But now he found himself rising only a few hours before Armand, at most. When Armand's coffin lid slid open, the telepath looked over, smirking. "Morning, sunshine."

After the time earlier in the morning with the child, who had proved an amusing diversion, he'd found that the sun was a bit much to handle. Although it didn't stand any chance of really hurting him, not through the thick cloud cover, he still remembered all too vividly going into the sun, and found that he wanted to go to his coffin. So, though part of him delighted in walking about in the daylight, he didn't waste a lot of time getting to the room he shared with Schuldig, or slipping into his coffin. First, he had to eject a feline, who seemed to think his coffin was a cat bed, and the dead mouse that was his 'gift' this time. Once that was done, he'd shut himself up in the dark, confined place, and fell into a deep sleep that would last all the remaining hours of the day.

But, even in his sleep, Schuldig's thoughts must have gotten through to him. When he was awoken by the plaintive meows of the little cat, his eyes flashed open immediately and he had a feeling, somehow, that it was time. Though he professed to hate the cat, he thoughtfully banged on the lid of his coffin to let him know he was awake, and that he was going to come out. Only once he'd heard the kitten jump down did he push the lid open and sit up. His gaze fell on his lover with unerring accuracy.

"It's time, isn't it?" It wasn't really a question. He could tell from the thoughts of the telepath, from the general aura that he was putting out. With a slight nod, he moved gracefully from his resting place. With a quick kiss for his lover, he glanced around the room. "I'm ready when you are. Rose has a message for our beloved king. I can't wait to deliver it." Turning back to Schuldig, Armand nuzzled against him affectionately, and then took his hand. "Shall we go?"

Schuldig had become completely used to Armand, the way he moved and spoke and the eery little things that reminded Schuldig that he most definitely wasn't human. So he didn't even blink when Armand rose so gracefully, and looked straight at him, although a human wouldn't have known where he was. "Yeah, it's time." He smiled, pulling Armand in for a slightly deeper kiss, and then grabbed his jacket, which had his gun it in. He didn't honestly think he'd need it, not with Armand travelling with him, but it was a bit of a security blanket.

Next, he grabbed the small bag of food he had packed. He knew Armand didn't need to eat, but he and the kitten did, and he had no idea how long it would take to get through the Labyrinth. Tiger, being smart enough to not want to be left behind, had decided to sit in the front pouch of the bag. "Does she, now? That'll be interesting."

The telepath smirked, running his fingers through Armand's hair affectionately as the small vampire nuzzled into him. "Yes, we can go." And with that, he tugged Armand out the door, happy to leave the horrible motel room behind. "To the Labyrinth, then... I wonder if you could fly over?" He almost hoped not. That would be way, way too easy, and disappointing of dear Mr. Sparkly King.

As they walked toward the entrance, Schuldig held his lover close, not really having gotten a chance to say a proper good morning - well, evening. The entire time, he kissed and caressed the boylike vampire. "How did you sleep? How was your night last night? You left a little close to morning." He couldn't help but be concerned for Armand. He was, though he still wouldn't admit it, deeply in love with the other.

Armand had nothing to prepare. He had very little attachment to material possessions, after all, and there was nothing he could carry that would be more deadly than his preternatural body already was. So he waited patiently as his lover prepared himself, though he made a face when the kitten crawled into the bag. "Does it have to come?" He thrust out his lower lip petulantly, but, in reality, he sort of liked the tiny creature, with its predatory thoughts. So he didn't complain much, and it was all for show.

As was usually the case since Schuldig had expressed a preference, Armand didn't cut his hair either. He left it long and free, curling in soft waves to his shoulders. So as soon as Schuldig was ready, Armand was by the door waiting for him, linking his fingers into the warm ones of the telepath. Each and every affectionate gesture that he was given was met with one of his own, kissing, touching, and more affectionate nuzzling.

"I'll try to fly over." He eyed the wall, which, really, shouldn't be able to keep him out. Effortlessly, he jumped into the air and rose, but not far. It was if some unbreakable, invisible barrier held him at bay, and no breaks revealed themselves to his searching hands. So he landed and gave a little shrug to indicate he couldn't fly over before he addressed the other question. "I went to the aquarium to see the fish... and a very adorable boy belonging to death, the one who tried to kiss me and take me to the other side. I played with him a little." He laughed softly. "The clouds were thick, and the sun didn't hurt me." As proof, he held out his white hand, showing that he hadn't been burned.

Schuldig rolled his eyes, but was grinning. He knew the Armand's hate of the kitten was all an act. He was a telepath, for god's sake. But, he thought it was cute, so he let it go and played a long. "Yes, she has to come." The little pout was possibly one of the most adorable things he had seen, including the kitten, but he had seen it enough now that he had a sort of immunity. Sometimes. As it was, he simply pulled Armand up and kissed the pout off his lips.

Schuldig watched Armand fly up and attempt to go over. So he was right. Mr. Sparkly King had made precautions against flight. Well, then. In they went. "Good. Because if the sun had hurt you, I would have had to hurt it. And honestly, I'm not so stupid as to think I'd win that fight." He smiled at the mention of the boy, finding the image of him in Armand's mind. "Did you feed?"

It always made Schuldig happy to see Armand with his hair long. He liked to wrap his fingers in the thick, dark strands. Occasionally, like today, he would pull gently and lead Armand by it, his hand resting on the back of the cold neck as they walked. It was subtle, and he didn't need to, as he knew that one, Armand would go wherever he told him, and two, the vampire was much, much stronger than him, but it was more of a psychological thing. For Armand, he knew that Schuldig had hold of him, that he belonged to him, and it was a reminder. For Schuldig, it was an expression of dominance and possession, and gave him a sense of control. The eroticism, in it, like everything they did, didn't hurt either.

As they entered the Labyrinth, there was a long corridor, that seemed to have no end or beginning, and no doors. "Oh, nice, Jareth," Schuldig murmured. He let go of Armand, but only momentarily, to run his hands over the walls. Eventually, he found the real entrance, and smiled. "Illusionary walls. Very, very clever. This way, Angel."

The smile rose unbidden to his lips, just a pure expression of joy and contentment at the redhead's words. For a vampire, there was little as terrifying as the sun, and, joking or not, Schuldig had just offered to fight it if it hurt Armand. He didn't need to take it literally to find it beautiful, especially given his own relatively recent experience with the sun and the attempted sacrifice of himself. Unable to speak, he just gave the human a look that spoke of love, ultimate devotion, and gratitude, before he nuzzled against him just as affectionately as the tiny cat often did.

He did, however, raise his head and look directly at the redhead, and even spoke, having recovered slightly. "Yes, yes, I fed. Innocence and hurt in that one. And he belongs to death, which only made it that much sweeter." He sighed softly in remembered contentment, pleased with himself. He always did like tangling himself with powerful, dangerous forces, and Der Tod was certainly that. "I don't think his friend will be pleased..." Which apparently pleased Armand.

The vampire purred softly to himself as his human master led him firmly. Oh, he could pull away. It wouldn't even be remotely difficult. But he'd always wanted someone strong to lead him, and was grateful when someone took that role on. Dark eyes flashed back at Schuldig, speaking of his approval. Whimsically, he pulled all of the feelings he was having, of pleasure of being dominated, of arousal, and of affection, into a tight beam, which he directed into his lover's brain.

The simple illusion would have decieved him completely. He was a rather literal being, and the way things looked was how they were for him. So when Schuldig effortlessly penetrated it, his eyes went wide, and he followed the telepath without question. As they passed through the walls and into the convoluted stone corriders of the labyrinth, he looked around. "The king could kill me, simply by making this too hard to do in the hours before the sun rises." But sitting around worrying about it wouldn't do anything, so he sighed and set off in a random direction. Through twists and turns, and several dead ends, he followed the paths until they came to a sort of enclosed place. The walls slammed shut behind them, trapping them in. The only exit was two doors set in the wall, with two strange goblins guarding them.

Those lips, that smile...Schuldig couldn't help a pleased, truly enamoured sigh. It was true. He'd do anything for Armand, and nothing, no one, was allowed to hurt him, with the exception of Schuldig himself. He communicated this silently, and when Armand gave him that look, Schuldig returned it, not even realizing how much love was in his eyes.

Schuldig gasped and had to pause as immense pleasure rushed over him, his grip on Armand's hair tightening painfully. Slowly, lust filled eyes opened and he looked over to his vampire pet, smirking. "Good. I don't want you hungry, and I need my strength." He pulled Armand up with that same harsh grip and kissed him forcefully. If they had been in their room, he would have taken his lover to bed, but they had set out to do the Labyrinth and now they would.

The many turns and dead ends mostly bored Schuldig. He was expecting something much more challenging and exciting. So when the walls closed around him and Armand, he smirked. Walking over to the 'guards' calmly, he knelt down to their level, inspected them, and then asked them simply, "Which door leads to the Goblin City?" One guard said his, and then the other one said it was really his.

The two began to squabble, and Schuldig sighed, stood up, and shot them both calmly, and each was dead with one perfect shot. Kicking them out of the way, he turned back to Armand. "Neither of these doors is going to have something good behind it, but at least it might be fun." He gave a little grin. "Left or right, babe?"

If anyone had ever been as devoted to Armand as Schuldig was, he couldn't remember it. His own parents, Marius, no one could compare. The truth was, Armand was a brat, and he knew that this was the case. When people left him, he couldn't even really blame them. But Schuldig, well, he had apparently made some sort of commitment not to leave him, at least to himself. This pleased the vampire immensely, and even if Jareth did manipulate events so that Armand got caught in the sun without shelter, he would burn up with thanks for the goblin king on his lips until the end. After all, if Jareth hadn't brought him here, he never would have met this amazing mortal.

The kiss was returned with all the passion that Armand thought that Schuldig could handle. The truth is, Armand could hurt, or even kill, Schuldig very easily with his embrace. So he held back a tiny bit, and, for the first time, found himself wishing that the redhead was more nearly his equal physically speaking. But that was a dangerous longing to have, and he pushed it away firmly.

The vampire watched with large eyes as the assassin shot the two goblins, and then when it was over, he rushed over to the dead creatures. "You are still a creature of so many surprises, my love." He inspected the perfect way that the tiny bullets had dealt swift death to the two ugly goblins, and then rose to his feet and walked silently, gracefully, over to the door on the left and listened.

"Nothing moves through here." He shifted to the right hand door, and only listened for a moment. "Creatures speak through there, though I cannot penetrate their thoughts. The door on the left." He walked over, kicked the stone door hard enough that it simply shattered, and walked through. Behind them, the sun was rising. The end of the night approached, and he didn't much care what lay behind the door. He would be protected from the sun, which he could already sense was rising.

Still, he allowed his lover to enter first, and then followed. Which was perhaps unfortunate. The pit that opened up, Armand would have had no trouble avoiding. But Schuldig, with mortal reflexes, had a harder time, and fell in. Armand, without thinking, followed, catching his lover and cushioning him with his body as they fell down, down into the darkness. Finally, they landed in a stone room, with no obvious exits, and worse than that, Armand could feel the coldness sweeping over him. His limbs felt heavy, and it had become harder to move. He was old enough that he wasn't helpless against the sleep that the daytime brought, but he would be very little use if they were to continue.
