Who: Cathal and Armand
What: General Angstyness
When: Evening
Where: Sword Fighting
Rating: PG-13ish?
Status: Incomplete

Just when Cathal thought he was getting used to this place it would change. Now it didn't even wait seven days to change, it changed every gods forsaken day! To say that this made Cathal grumpy was the understatement of the year. It made him downright intolerable. He growled at everyone he came in contact with and did his damndest to make them as miserable as he was.

In an effort to calm himself, get rid of some tension and blow off some steam, he took his sword and went out to the practice field. There he could practice on the dummies and relieve some of his aggression without actually hurting anyone. Hurting people wasn't his job, after all, it was his father's.

He pulled the sword out of the scabbard and tossed the scabbard to the ground. He stalked toward one of the dummies and, double handing his sword, he hacked at the dummy's neck, torso and arms. He yelled and grunted as he slammed the blade into the dummy over and over and over. After an hour or so, he was dripping with sweat and breathing heavily. His moves were more controlled and less filled with aggression, too. He was finally calming somewhat when he heard something behind him.

It was the thoughts that had drawn him, the intruiging, anger filled thoughts. Such thoughts were nearly irresistable to the vampire. Really, anything very strong could draw him easily, which is why he'd always liked churches. People praying had the most interesting thoughts. But this anger was overwhelming, and had drawn him closer. He wanted to see the man who created such strong emotions.

For a long time, he sat in the growing shadows. When he'd awoken, the colors of sunset were still in the sky. Now, it was fully dark, and he watched as the strange looking man tired himself out. If the thoughts had been intruiging, it was nothing on the actual man himself. Whatever else could be said about Jareth, the people he picked to bring here were nearly always gorgeous, and this man was no exception.

After awhile, though, he got bored of just watching him take his anger out on the dummy. Silently, he slipped from the shadows at the edge of the training area, picked up a sword, and headed over to the other man. Saluting him with it, he held it expertly and, in a dazzling display of skill, attacked him. Nor was it all due to his vampire nature. He had been quite a good fencer in life, had even managed, with a lucky blow, to fight off a man much older, heavier, and stronger than him when he was only 17 years old.

"You fight well against dummies, but against me? We'll see." He laughed and pressed his attack, holding himself back from his full strength and speed to make this more interesting. Still, he was very, very good. And his movements almost made a mockery out of the whole thing, mostly because he wanted to feel that anger, that powerful anger, radiating from him once more.
